Hi Lynnie, I recently discovered this story and I kept reading, chapter after chapter. I wonder if you intend to write some more to give a proper end for this lovely plot .

Greetings! This is the longest "meet and greet" narratives almost of any fictional story of Robert's
& Cora's getting acquainted with each other-But in this story you have introduced us to the very realistic beginnings I've not seen throughout all the fan-fiction about the pair. It has helped to make sense of characters from The Downton Abbey theme of Julian Fellows!. Robert's bitter cousin Susan & her emotionally distant husband Shrimpie; Lord Merton's rude, and hateful wife Lady Ada,etc. Also,you present the unique and loving relationship between my second lady from (D) Rosamund -Roberts' sister and himself...She never gets enough recognition for helping Robert tostay the legacy he inherited by being the boy of the family. She loves both Cora & her nieces.

A true profile of the Senior Crawleys; the shy but kind & tenderness of Robert-his deep love for Downton -that a cacophony of noise drowns out every thought of the insensitivity of his father steering him on this mission of finding a wife for Downtons's survival; the snobbishness and often crudity of Violet(she's not much of a lady-at least often in her behavior)-but Cobert do triumph for over 3 decades. Thanks for your exquisite portrayal of the journey that Robert & Cora
had to navigate- with many challenging obstacles to overcome-so far they survived with "hearts -a-fire" and enough love & resistance for Downton's legacy to more than stay a float-but anchor for years to come-even if not in the same-form! 11/17

Omg an update! I was jumping up and down after getting the notification! The beginning of this one had me hooked like few stories do, I’m so glad you decided to continue it. Splendid work as usual, looking forward to the next chapter :)

'Kind of nice' is the biggest understatement of this year! This story is great. It has multiple layers and an excellently characterised Robert, just as he would have been as a young man. He is always poised on the edge of doing exactly what you want as a reader and then he doesn't. And then there are the big secrets between them that are realistic of people of their age and their relationship but also adds a slightly modern appeal to a courtship story set in the 1880s.

I love it, will happily wait for more and would defo call it a lot more than 'kind of nice.'

Interesting characters interactions, and mini-themes about
the London Season. Also, the George Crawley family's financial challenges at Downton can no longer remain a secret from Robert, and the rest of the household ...

However, chapters are too long- individual dialogue to descriptive- Cora & Robert interactions too sparse. It is too
late I suspect for these observations with this piece. I'm still hooked on Corbert history -how they met eventually fell in love-and maintained a thirty-something year aristocracy marriage.

I love this story & hope you will continue it very soon.

So glad to read this update and it is as good as always don't worry. So the mothers met and now a visit to Downton has been decided. I cannot wait to read what happens next and thanks again for going back to writing!
