Okay, so first things first,

How old is your character? He seemed to brush off the fact that he had just murdered then butchered an animal like it was nothing. Realistically, this would have severe emotional effects on him and cause a great deal of stress. Where did the wolves come from? I thought the story took place in California?

Another thing I noticed was the knowledge of survival and priorities that your character has. Under circumstance such as these, someone wouldn't assume first that they should board up their home and start to kill wolves. A normal person would wait until further news came along. As for the news, no news station would blatantly advertise the fact that people need at least 3 months of food. Mass roots and looting would be occurring and the electrical grid would most likely be down within the first 48 hours .

In all the story has a few plot holes that could be fixed but it is a really great start. Give it a little bit of work and give your character some background or even just a little bit of emotion. If you have any other questions feel free to email me and I'd love to help you further

If you didn't understand my previous statement, basically, because of the geomagnetic disaster that The Long Dark is set in, the entire electrical grid of the whole planet is completely DEAD. So internet, no PCs, no cars, not even satelite coverage or even the ISS.

Bunkers are fine since those are resistant to anything that fries electronics.

You do know that the "geomagnetic disaster" part of The Long Dark means that the whole world has suffered a big massive temperature change AND a massive electromagnetic pulse, right? And along with that, that means the internet, electricity and anything that uses electricity will be fried and reduced to a big hunking pile of wires and copper.

So that means that whatever your computer is made of that makes it resist GEOMAGNETIC incidents, well...

SO AWESOME! Seriously, The Long Dark has attracted the best authors! I've read all the TLD fanfics (except my own.) and EVERY SINGLE FANFIC was as if it was written by a god. I LOVE THIS FANFIC! PLZZZZ UPDATE SOON!
