I always imagined that the strict parent would be Bela and Liet would always be the softer one. This was a nice little addition. It gave more insight to my previous comment xD In my headcanon I never thought it was possible since in hetalia canon we somehow do understand how nations are born even if Hima-papa never said explicitly. But I still like the idea of this happening. :)

Just going to mention, there's one thing that I'm not sure if it could be possible here (considering how they are nations and not humans).

Okay there's alot I want to say about this chapter. It's gonna be hard not to spoil anything so uh...

If anyone hasn't read the chapter yet DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW PLEASE. X'D

ALRIGHT. First of all, I was really surprised when you mentioned God. Even though I've been around fanfiction for a long time, there was never a story that I encountered that would say anything about Him (it's only natural tbh). I honestly can say this is the first one- I mean granted I haven't actually read alot but...I think it's rare. Most people don't care and others are probably too afraid of backlash. It's something that's been bothering me about the hetalia fandom. Religion has been a huge part of some countries' histories but it's conveniently forgotten in the fandom. (Ex Poland. Writing about him without mentioning Christianity is literally leaving more than half of his story behind) So what I want to say is thank you for writing that.

You know what I forgot to say in the previous chapters? I also love that you wrote Liet actually saying the line that 'Love isn't just a feeling but a choice'. Too often that love is portrayed as something you feel when that's only 10% of what love really is. Again I didn't expect that right off the bat from a story on . I was genuinely surprised anyone mentioned that here. The world needs more accurate portrayals and examples of love.

So far, the main criticism I have of the story is about Liet's personality. He's almost too perfect here. Considering what he just went through, it'd be really hard to forgive that right away. That's the part that I can't really buy. Realistically, it would've taken much more time for him to just forgive her. We already know that she's done things to him in the past, but in the context here, this is probably the worse thing she's done and it was brutal. In my opinion, it would've made more sense if he had initially ignored her for awhile before finally talking to her again- but not exactly forgetting the hurt she caused him. Forgiveness takes a long time...since it's one of the hardest things to do. So this part I found unrealistic with him being so perfect. Knowing what to do and doing it is two different things and it takes time for the latter to follow.

Maybe you'd have this later on in the story but I think it'd be nice to show Liet's flaws more. I mean, what's there to hate about someone who's perfect? So it'd be nice to see Belarus loving him even though he also has bad points.

I also found it abit strange that Belarus had no signs of remorse even as she went to find Russia. I think that she should've since she's indeed not crazy. I feel that she would've already have thought about those things before Russia mentioned it. I did enjoy seeing Russia be a big brother to her.

I know I'm criticizing alot but it's only because I've been enjoying the story. I'm really glad that there are stories around here that actually have a moral and it's not just mindless fluff or smut or whatnot. There needs to be more content like this, so thanks for writing this. :)
