My goodness! This story is so wonderful! You really meld the book and musical universes so well, and flesh out Fitero’s character so well. He’s well-intentioned but his meddling really did hurt Elphaba didn’t it? It’s so amazing how you’ve turned it so that while we aren’t in Elphie’s head we do know how she’s feeling from subtle cues and gestures. Fiyero is perceptive, but also kind of blinded by his memories of old Elphaba to see her insecurities. I looove the slow burn of this story and the nice slice of life moments too. I like your expansion into Oz politics, and the interactions with Fiyero’s father. But it does pose this interesting point about time travel, maybe it is a closed loop in some ways and Fiyero’s can’t save Elphie from her fate. And maybe he doesn’t need to, because that’s what made her who she is, he just never saw that until becoming closer to her. Though my heart breaks for Galinda, I’m glad the two of them could stay friends. Also, I love your characterization of Nessa- it’s more realistic than you see in fanfic and closer to her actual book self. I like how your work doesn’t sugarcoat Nessa and Boq’s obsessions, and how Fiyero used his charm to actually help people, and they became sort of friends.

Also you have an excellent style of writing, your use of wordplay and imagery is great. I fell in love with this story during the egg sandwich bit. And the bit about chess.

I want to give my sincerest condolences about your father. I’ve had to take care of an ill parent myself, and I empathize with the sort of numbness that occurs. But, your story has certainly helped me in this time. I binged all the chapters in this evening. I wish I could have been there to savor it in real time. This story has been a delight

I've been meaning to review for this for ages. Your writing is so fantastic, and I just could not love this piece more. I look forward to every chapter, even if it is SO good at breaking my heart. Hi, it's been a while. I'm on my third read through of this amazing story and I think the end goal should be a mutual polyamorous relationship between Fiyero, Elphaba, and Galinda. It's only fair because I love them all so much and want them to be happy. We'll call it Perfect Emeralds.

That daydream took a turn for the worst! Although the wizard saying "melted fresh this morning" is a little funny in a morbid way.

I know i shouldn't, but i laughed at the last part.

I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve never lost a parent, but I’ve lost a brother, so I can empathize a little. I’ve just gotta say, the only reason I didn’t read and respond instantly to the newest chapter is because I wanted to reread the whole story before reading the new chapter. I feel so bad for Fiyero!
