Ohhhhh, So. Beautiful. Gahhh. I love Jewel so much. This was beautiful. So in-keeping with Jewel's character. I loved this part the best:
'He could not - would not - believe the Ape. Aslan was Aslan and He did not change. No, He would come as He always had.'

This story just confirms in my mind what I've been thinking for a while, that I need to write some Last Battle fic :D

O-oh. I loved this, the subject, the description, just... everything. I can't believe I didn't review before!

This is a good extrapolation of the line in LB, "We have lived too long." I hadn't thought much about what Jewel went through when he was tied behind the stable. I'm glad you have his confidence in Aslan restored before he is rescued.

This is a well written story. I like how you have Jewel ponder "Aslan" in the stables and how he came to understand that, that is not the real Aslan.
