It's a very nice way to look at why Team Rocket would just evacuate the building and leave a boatload of evidence behind. And that Blue wasn't completely heartless.

I really liked this version of the Celadon hideout's emptying out. Giovanni is certainly someone capable (and likely) to do this, and it really makes sense that he'd get rid of evidence - and an annoying trainer with a hero-complex - while he's at it. It might explain why the basement was filled in for gen ii.
