She didn't sort that out on time, and let him get away with his delusion, and then blames Charles unfairly. Just no. Not on.

She should not have been indulging him with being "mates", she should have noticed that he wasn't letting it go. She should have just cut contact with him much earlier when she noticed he wasn't taking no for an answer.
As soon as she noticed that, she should have cut the line (if nothing else got through his skull).

And if she only just noticed now, then at least she should not blame Charles for it. Who did the right thing by putting a stop to it. It is just not on to let Smurf get away with his nonsense that is harming others! She failed to do her part and then blames Charles for picking up her slack. No. Just no.

I have no patience for this.

Also blaming herself for Smurf's suicide - just no. She didn't lead him on or cheat on him or anything. He just refused to take no for an answer. Not her responsibility. And even much less Charles' who had no share in any of this madness.

Okay, I really think she should have just bitten the bullet and asked him about his wife when she kept biting her tongue (back in the hospital, before the restaurant). Better to get the elephant out of the way. No sense in dancing around it... just my two cents...
