JadeSlytherin394 chapter 5 . 5/30 I really really like this. You write really well! |
Leandra.Falconwing chapter 5 . 2/10/2018 I have no idea if you ever intend to write more of this, since it's been two years, but I love this concept and story. It's fantastic and very well done. |
Guest chapter 5 . 12/28/2017 Hi I reread this again and I've been looking for other fics with the same AU as it is impossible. There are no fanfics and I'm no way as good as you when it comes to characterising. Though I would be surprised if you forgot the password of your account and then forgot of the whole account altogether. Or maybe you losted interested in the Harry Potter universe. I don't know. What I do know is that such a well written piece should not be unfinished. Like I said earlier I can't find another story like yours. By the way you left us on a cliffhanger. You can't do that it makes me even more sad that it's not finished. |
Guest chapter 5 . 10/28/2017 I love this story. Just wondering from the last chapter have you watched AVPM? You probably won't continue this, but I really hope you do. |
Guest chapter 5 . 10/23/2017 Will you continue this? |
Guest chapter 5 . 10/23/2017 I love this au so much. |
Swiftlet in the Cloud chapter 5 . 4/5/2017 This is such a great fic. It's amazing that James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter still became friends no matter what. I love how you showed that each of them found something they were missing in one another. I also love how you're building on the feeling that they would do anything of one another. Thank you for sharing your work. I hope you'll come back to finish this fic one day, especially since this chapter ended on a cliffhanger and I'd love to know the aftermath with McGonagall. |
Tala White 14 chapter 5 . 1/29/2017 Love it! This is so great! |
The Silvernote chapter 1 . 12/17/2016 I like it so far, I love how the sorting hat argued to put them in Gryffindoor because, well, it's where they belonged. Not necessarily because they were all brave, but they needed that house. Sirius needed it to help him keep defying his family and well, he WAS brave. Although I feel Gryffindoor is the only place for Remus concidering what he had to go through, Ravenclaw is very fitting but I would have gone Hufflepuff as the alternative concidering he wouldn't want to go in with Ravenclaw as they would figure out his "furry little problem" fastest. Peter, well... He needed that as he valued bravery. He WANTED to be brave yet could never find it in himself. We all have the ability to be brave, we just don't always act on it. And honestly, all the houses are brave in a different way. And James, well... You can't not put him in Gryffindoor. |
VoicesOffCamera chapter 1 . 6/29/2016 Happy Birthday Red! Sorry this is a bit late, but I hope you had a pleasant birthday all the same! I’ve always been intrigued by this idea that each of the four Marauders show qualities of the four Hogwarts Houses, and yet they were all Sorted into the same House! I think Peter being in Hufflepuff is a little up for debate, I know it’s been revealed on Pottermore that the Sorting Hat was torn between Sorting him in Slytherin or Gryffindor… but I think that young he could have easily had some Hufflepuff qualities. And the way that you portrayed it here worked out well in my opinion. The Hat isn’t 100% sure about it, but based on Peter’s own request it’s the decision he goes with. I also like that both Peter and Remus’ Sortings were based on stereotypes that weren’t necessarily true. I think that plays a lot into the prejudices that were the norm during this time. It goes beyond blood purity and bleeds into school Houses as well. I know I’m a bit out of order here, but I really liked what you did with Sirius’ Sorting! How he’s just accepted that he will be put in Slytherin in order to please his family. The real kicker is when the Hat tells him he could be put in a House that would actually make him happy, and Sirius still refuses. At this point, he probably can’t really imagine being actually happy. Despite the fact that he tries to brush this whole thing off, I think you still managed to hint on how damaged he actually is. I have a small critique for the formatting of this first chapter. It’s a little confusing trying to tell the Hat’s thoughts from the Marauders’ thoughts. I was confused in the first section and it took me a minute to figure out that there were two different sets of thoughts in the italics. And then even when I did find the flow, it got disturbed at the end when in James’ section you start with James’ thoughts, while in the rest of the sections you had started with the Hat’s thoughts. Some way to differentiate between the two different thought lines might be helpful. But other than that, I very much enjoyed this! Well done! |
creativesm75 chapter 5 . 5/23/2016 cool |
Winter Leigh End chapter 5 . 4/21/2016 "…feels odd to be on the Ravenclaw table…" Maybe on should be switch for at? At is usually the word people would use there, not on. I can't think of how many books/shows/movies about high schools that make a big deal about "sitting at the popular kids' table". I felt this was another nice chapter. Them further expanding their map and the tension between Regulus and Sirius escalating. The way Sirius says he'd defend Regulus if his new friends made fun of him was really interesting and the way Regulus sort of just ignored this is really sad because it gets to what seems to be the true issue of Sirius's loyalty to him and their family. The scene in the library between Remus and James was rather interesting too. While his rather cool behavior towards them was a bit rude, if understandable given his fears, I though James's demand for Remus to help was just a tad out of line. Peter had it right when he said Remus had a reputation to uphold as a Prefect and being a part of their scheme could ruin it. Asking, of course, was alright. When he said no, though, James should have backed off. Remus's offer to not tell anyone about what he and Peter would be doing was very generous of him and I wish James wouldn't have left the library acting like if Remus didn't come, he was going to be in trouble with James. The end with McGonagall showing up just sort of proves the point that Remus's reputation could end up tarnished now that he's been caught with them. All in all, a nice chapter, even if I didn't find how James dealt with Remus's rejection of the plan to be appropriate. |
Winter Leigh End chapter 4 . 4/21/2016 "…the textbook at a little hard…" at should be is, I think. I liked this chapter, seeing the four of them come together and make these discoveries is really neat. Peter's part was my favorite, I think. Though, I've also always found him to be the most interesting Marauder, so, I might be a bit biased. Anyway, I enjoyed it because I think you did really well to capture the type of insecure guy he is with how he goes out of his way to find somewhere cool to show off to the rest because he's afraid otherwise he'll be left behind and alone once more. The later conflict we saw Sirius go through too was neat. The way he hesitates just barely when his brother threatens to write his mother was great because it really lead in well to him weighing how much these new friendships he's forming matter to him. The fact he's feeling so strongly about them already is a nice thing to see and I enjoyed how he's all for looking out for Remus and Peter who are the physically weakest of their group from his fellow Slytherins. |
forgotten black sister chapter 5 . 2/6/2016 yes crap |
NovaArbella chapter 5 . 1/8/2016 Hmm seems like the finding out of the furry secret isn't far off. Wonder who teaches Divination at this point. Oh belt up, Reg. Interesting POV from Reg there. He isn't necessarily into being a Dark Wizard, but is willing to accept the title if that's really what it means. Aww and busted. Oh well, at least it was at this and not the other stuff. What do they think they are going to accomplish? He's going to have to do his time sometime. It's not like they won't notice Sirius isn't in detention. They're making it sound like breaking him out of prison. …. Ohhhhh I see what you did there. :D Geeze, shut up Peter. Jame sure is laying it on thick with McG. They come out of her desk? Wouldn't she know the passage was there? Oh he really turned her into a pumpkin head. Daaaam. Boy doesn't play around with his plans. Ohhhhhhh caught! Can't wait to see how this goes. Didn't realize that I didn't have three chapters left to review in this story. I'll have to go and find something else from your collection to leave the last one on. |
