Rogue and Gambit are lovely in this story. You can’t deny their chemistry even when they are meeting in line about to make life-changing decisions. There’s something lovely about Rogue convincing Remy to come to give the school a chance.

This was really sweet. I loved seeing the much more humorous side of the two of them, its very refreshing and made me smile. I really enjoyed this, you had me wanting more after all of that! I can’t wait to read more of your work, you portrayed a really wonderful version of them.

I can't believe I haven't found this before now! There were actually a couple of your pieces that weren't coming up in the site searches, so I've got a bit to catch up on. Anyway, I *loved* this one and I'm so glad you turned it into a series. The nervous Remy seemed a bit out of character for me, but then we really don't know what he was like when he was younger and his powers were out of whack. Blending it with the ladies man persona we do know made it work on a couple of different levels. As you revealed more of the plot, the anticipation to see what could happen next was built very well. Great job and I can't wait to read the next one later today!

Awwwwww it really was fate that they met at the Clinic! I hope things go well for Remy at the Institute and that him and Rogue are able to be together.

Niiiice! I can see why you're contemplating making this into a multi-chapter fic. There's a lot of set-up here for a fully fledged story. I mean, even small things are hinted at, like a potential friendship between Remy and Storm.

I did like the set up for them meeting - the winding queue was somehow metaphorical, and I liked the fact that Remy didn't really know if he really wanted the Cure. Seems like a very Remy thing, to wing writing, even something as important as this! And yeah right... Public safety was sooooo at the forefront of their minds. Lol. Can't wait to see were this goes next - if there is a 'next'. I hope so! ;)

Definitely agree with you, this is more like the first chapter of a fic story than a one-shot. Loved it all the same and even more so now that i see it has a sequel. Nod to the comment rogue made about absorbing people without touching. Loved that story too btw.

Its been a long while since I read any X-Men fanfiction and I'm so glad I started with this one! Very sweet candid take on this scenario. Much as I really can't stand X3 and all it entailed, this made me smile. Love it chellerbelle! Nice work :-)

Great story! Very well written & plausible (for X-Men movieverse, of course). I liked how Rogue got to mention that even without a mutation she could school Gambit.

lol i finally got around to reading this chapter. you are absolutely right that this could be the beginning of an actual story than just a one shot well written. very entertaining too, you may have to write in the huge battle scene sometime soon after this chapter but we know you can do it.

love the ending :) i'm glad only one of them got the cure. but you made it work so it all makes sense too.
