I do think your idea has a lot of potential so I'm actually a bit exided to see how you are gonna improve this. I mean, I was laready hooked as it was. Anyway, I hope your muses keep you going until you are satisfied with the new version. I'll be following it close. :D

I'm just going to give a review of the story as a whole, it's very heart wrenching in terms of Red's past... You really like playing with emotions don't you *cries*
I'm really sorry that he lost his Mum and Brother though, but at the same time... are they really dead? Hmmm
It's really good, you're amazing when it comes to putting yourself in your characters shoes and writing down their emotions :)

So, i read too much into the name 'citrine' - it sounds like citrus- and thought that you meant Yellow from the manga instead of Daisy, Gary's sister. Suddenly, the age differences and her not having a pikachu make sense. I see all the equations.

Man, this has been a great read so far! I like your writing style a lot, it's smooth and draws you in. The chcharacters are also 3dimentional for the most part.
I wonder what Prof Oak is gonna do about Red. Oh no! Citrine don't this is a disaster in the making! (in the story, not your story) When Red and Giovanni will meet again will be thrilling, I can't wait!

When I saw the name "Tambert", I IMMEDIATELY thought of the running gag involving Dr. Namba. That was funny. So I take it that Dr. Tambert is your OC. Dr. Blaine ...YES! Another writer who sees Blaine as a former Rocket! Rest of my review: well, it looks like the Pallet trio is all aboard for a crazy adventure. ...and Citrine is either crazily desperate, desperately crazy or both. ...not sure which term to use, but I like it.

End A/N: well, here's the thing. I'm trying to remember that this is games verse we're talking. I know you told me that Aoi is a gender neutral name (and thanks to you, I have a name for a character that I'm working in a non-Pokemon story), but it seemed odd that Leaf is Red's counterpart, but leaves aren't typically blue. Indigo leaves being the exception to this that I know of. So that's where my confusion lies. I know a majority of people see Green as the male, but I just thought I'd put this out there. Especially because if Aoi is supposed to be Leaf, then her name should be more reflecting on that. ...I hope that that made sense.

Forest's name is okay, but if you want it to be more accurate (I keep thinking of the actual thing... a forest), it's with 2 rs. I know you didn't put Brock's siblings in this, so maybe that could help.

Citrine/Daisy: I really think you should change it to Daisy to avoid confusion. Especially because you didn't put Misty's sisters in this either. Maybe give the name Citrine to her Raichu to avoid confusion?

I dunno. At this point, I'm probably rambling. Hope this helped.

Anyways I love this story, and will continue to do so. Forest is being a slight jerk, Aoi is being a cheerful brute...I love them both.

I leave a comment mainly to answer your question; to me, it’d be fine to keep her name as Citrine. I don’t really have much trouble, since the character was well introduced into the story and nicely structurated, so it’s easy to catch on even if they don’t share a name.

Apart from that, I’m also very happy with how the story’s going: even if it’s slowburn, you keep it interesting, and that’s just my kind of story.

This is one of the only pokemon fanfics I follow, which makes it really special to me! I really look forward to Red’s character development further down!

It looks like you're continuing with little pieces from Red's childhood at the Team Rocket base, it's sad but interesting. I hate Giovanni. Not because of this book or any of your other books, though you are doing a good job fueling that hatred. :D He's just always been an arrogant character in my opinion, and that's what annoys me most about him or any other organization boss for that matter.

Lt. Surge with an Emolga, that made my laugh. A lot.

I'm also anxious to see Tempest and Vidyut face off in Red's gym battle.

Oh. Asher is Melody's Pokemon and Daisy already had him. Wait. Clefairy have wings? ...Vidyut. I SWEAR I saw that name while I was looking up stuff in Google. ...or was it on a mythology page. *grunts* Where does that name sound so familiar?!

I can see Surge with an Emolga. I can see him making the Emolga intimidating, though. Just like I can see Silver making any Pokemon he catches intimidating.

Wait. When did Nidorino get the ability to learn Sucker Punch? For some reason, I just like the name Nero, despite knowing about the emperor. ...Remind me again what Pokemon Maggie is... Arcanine, right? Did Nero ever evolve into a Nidoking? So William isn't a blood Oak. ...heh. That sounds kinda cool and a little intimidating ...wait. I thought that Citrine said she'd get her mom's Pokemon. Did she not?

Also, is Mary Professor Oak's wife? As in DJ Mary of the Johto region? Is she still alive?

So Citrine's Raichu is Daisy. I wonder if she is the mother to Tempest.
