incredibly original. I think in all my years of this site, I can count on one hand the times that Vernon was the good guy (well as good as one can be when neglecting a child). It's incredibly refreshing and absolutely riveting to read. Originality makes me so incredibly happy.

One can almost see the anger in the typing! Like you I have a strong dislike for her (and usually her family). I think JKR blew off the abuse thing too easily, Perhaps in the 90's it wasn't as watched, but today, man that would change.

Really interested in where you can take Vernon. Perhaps you can head towards some redemptive ways. He could be slowly introduced to the joys of having a magical in his life. I see that as a human part of him came out especially for children.
