Been a reader of Aimless for a while now; never officially joined the fanfic community until kinda recently. I posted more-or-less the same comment on a picture of yours on DA, so this might be a bit redundant;

Glad to see Joshua finally move up in the world a bit, even if it's small. Also, I hear that Spyro and Joshua will eventually bury the hatchet; been in the mood for some happiness, and after forcing my way through Broken Perceptions, I've been looking for a decent Spyro story to wash the pain down. Granted, I'm not expecting it to happen overnight, but I am looking forward to the two approaching at least SOME amicability. Mind you, I'm hoping the relationship building happens naturally; no overnight changes of mind, but rather some actual character development.

SPOILERS FOR BROKEN PERCEPTIONS

That's two main reasons I have such a problem with Broken Perceptions; Spyro does so much wrong over the course of the story, up to and including full-blown premeditated murder, but he gets off rather lightly; one year in prison for pretty much causing a second war. That was where the suspension of disbelief broke for me; he kills multiple people, attacks multiple tribes, (including the cheetahs!) kidnaps, tortures, and mutilates the protagonist (who hadn't done anything to deserve it, really) and treats both the guardians and multiple other authority figures like shit over the entire story, and gets away more-or-less with a slap on the wrist; realistically, he'd be in jail for much longer, if not outright exiled, and even if neither of those scenarios happened it's unlikely anyone would be willing to trust him for a long time, especially Cynder.

That brings me to my second point; everyone was way too forgiving. Now, I'm not saying it's healthy to hold grudges, but there needs to be some realism towards the forgiveness process; not just Spyro, but almost everyone in Broken Perceptions pulled some shit. Not gonna lie, the ice dragon general (can't remember his name; Icebreath, I think?) made me want to see his damn head on a pike; he was just as guilty as Spyro in some scenes, but he got, like, what, three months? And he gets his job back with no hassle? Furthermore, Aaron is WAY too forgiving to the dragons; his childhood hero tries to murder him and mutilates him to the point of losing an arm? He just like, "Nah, I'm good, fam." It's completely unrealistic, and does nothing but ruin the immersion and make Aaron come across as a Mary Sue. I could go on, but should I?

Anyway, sorry for the long rant; I've been both looking for some decent Spyro fics, and looking to write my own, and everyone keeps saying "Broken Perceptions is the best fic evur!11!" or something similar. Basically, what I've been trying to say is; keep the characters likable and realistic, and keep the story flowing naturally, and I think you may have a solid story on your hands; I just hope it stays that way.

What would happen if Joshua mana rubbed together with spyro mana?

In a way Spyro and Joshua have more in common then they know Spyro represent Joshua on the outside while Joshua represent Spyro on the inside

What exactly is Joshua's element, or is it an element at all, is it magic?, PSI? , Something else entirely? I know now Joshua is connected to spyro somehow, is it like the dragonheart movies were they are bonded by soul or no?
Damn good story though, keep posting more at your own pace and do not let this die like other fanfcs.
