This is actually a really good idea. It kind of reminds me of like the limit break in Kingdom Hearts and you can only use it, obviously when your HP is low. But it also makes it more realistic that after going into such a fierce high, they'd need a way to come back down slowly instead of all at once. And Zack just going straight for Cloud...very hot.

Oh yayy! I wanted to comment when you posted on tumblr, but I'm so long-winded that I decided to wait til it was posted here. Obviously I like the story ;-) but I wanted to talk about how great your writing is!

The characters right from the get-go are so likeable, and had a smile on my face right away with their interactions - Zack/Cloud especially (of course). Their dynamic was just great - all the groundwork that they were both probably thinking more about each other than they'd admitted. It definitely made the build up later just that much more intense, and by the time the end of the story rolled around and Zack admitted he didn't even see the tag...ughh another big smile was plastered on my face!

The way you explained how it all works was done so well - from Zack looking down to spot the tag, to Cloud's conversation with Michael. Everything got out without it turning into a massive essay of an explanation, and it all made perfect sense.

The fight scene was really, really awesome. I'm not sure I've ever read a fight scene like it before to be honest - super impressive! I wasn't sure how you'd go about getting Zack to hit that point, but you nailed it in a very believable way - I really liked the mission/framework you came up with, and then the way everyone was involved in the scene. You described all that so, so well - the part where Zack dodged but still got hit with the impact...man, I could really just imagine it all very clearly.

It's obvious he's going to get pushed to his limit since it's the premise of the story, but idk, the way you did it was just epic. You're just so good at describing things in just the right way. And then when he goes into overdrive, with all the description you put in leading up to that...it was just intense, and I loved all of it. "Zack's blade was a whirlwind of metal, and Zack was the storm" - soooo good!

And all that while knowing what would happen after, having that underlying anticipation through that intense scene...The story idea itself was okay, but what you did with the idea/what you added to it/how you wrote it out...you definitely made it something special, everything you wrote just added to all the anticipation and made it so vivid/easy to imagine.

I think it goes without saying that the smut was awesome, but I'll say it anyway - it was awesome! And now I'm blushing furiously for saying that. But it's true!

The ending too...wondering what would happen when Zack was himself again through it all. I love how it played out. They're such cuties! The story was everything I imagined and much, much more - so thanks again for taking a silly idea and making it something much better.

Could you possibly do this with ASGZC? If not I'll just fantasize it. Don't worry. Oooh the thought of Seph OH Angeal and Cloud. That sweet gentle alpha turned into a mate loving uncontrollable alpha. -shivers-
