I'm in chapter 27 of "Feathers in The Night", is the best Nightwing x OC fanfic I've read, at least in the Young Justice universe.
And now, knowing what happened to this sequel...like, I understand everything that's happened to you, even so, I have lost interest in reading the prequel.

Ive followed this story for years, and its always quietly hovered in the back of my mind telling me to check for updates or sometimes I remember something that happened in the story and it makes me so, so happy. Thank you for writing this, thank you for sharing it with us, and thank you for sticking with it long enough to write an ending. This was written so beautifully... I hope you can still find happiness in writing stories because you truly have a gift. I'm not very good with words so I hope you forgive me. I cannot begin to express how I feel. This is the end of something great, but the thoughts and emotions put into this will live on forever. Thank you, Josephine. -Ace

I only found Feathers in the Night only 3 days ago and now I’ve finished reading that story and this one! I loved the first one and most of this one too...

I’m sorry but I personally found this ending very disappointing/dissatisfying. Honestly, I don’t think what you were trying to do was what felt wrong, but how you executed it. I just wished that everything wasn’t so rushed, but I’m glad that you actually came back and didn’t just abandon the story and/or discontinue the story like what many other authors would do in your situation.

Anything you have to give is lovely! This story and these characters mean a lot to me, I’ve been with the story since the start! The time and space you’ve given it is super understandable and anything else you have to give to this story is greatly appreciated!

Okay so for starters, this fic is beautiful and your writing is the best I’ve seen on this site in years. It’s flawless and flows so well and your attention to detail is amazing.

That all said, I really feel like the ending to Morgan and Dick’s relationship here was a huge cop out. I know you lost some interest in this site and story and you said yourself you may have forgotten some things, but this whole story has been basically leading up to a Dick and Morgan ‘talking their feelings out like adults’ moment but the moment you gave us... just fell short? It felt like a huge disservice to their characters to have them suddenly back together after what really was a brief encounter where they both uncharacteristically- Dick at least for sure- said I love you and boom everything is right in the world? You mention ‘oh it’ll be months to fix this’ but it of course didn’t feel like that, considering you hardly touched their relationship troubles again.

It was just dissatisfying.

With everything that happened and the fact you weren’t gonna finish this fic in full, you really should’ve left their relationship open to interpretation by readers. Had that reconciliation cause they have a kid together, but otherwise, leave it open. It would’ve been more satisfying. What once was one of my favorite Dick/OC pairings now just kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth?

And I also ADORE how the "nothing is ever lost" thing comes into play as we get back all of what we lost at the end. THANK YOU! This was such a satisfying story that is going to be a favorite forever

One thing I am curious about, however is the identity of the middle-aged man that scared Morgan so much in chapter 18. Her father? some new villain from Denmark?
