Dimension Distorter chapter 36 . 6/5/2019 I LOVE this story. It does a lot of things that I never saw but always wanted. Alisa being a Gargoyle and staying with Goliath and even people BECOMING Gargoyles and joining the team. However, I do think that a whole lot of what's going on should realistically be in-over the Gargoyles head with all of the Marvel stuff. Not saying you haven't done a decent job of them holding their own and all however the universe got a bit too big too fast. It's delving more into Marvel then it is about the Gargoyles. And while I DO love the originality of bringing in super natural threats, I think it would've paced better if you balanced human threats with magical/superhuman. Take the video games Watch_Dogs and WATCH_Dogs 2, where the focus is hacking and tech and normal people. The only Gargoyle who could've helped defeat any human who uses that stuff is Lexington so it would've been a good way to have him shine. Have him at the computer, feeding info to his comrades while also learning to do crazy hacking skills himself. Plus we didn't get as much in-depth stuff about the Turned-humans as I would've liked. Did any of them have other family? If so, how did they break the new they were beings from legend and couldn't stay home anymore? Home sickness? Would they be worried they'd never find happiness with someone else due to their new nature and I'd love for the OG Gargoyles to help them through these problems since they're problems they themselves have been in. So, verdict. Would I like to see you continue this current story? Yes, I would. I have no problem with it. BUT...do I think you'd have an easier time writing this if you reworked it and kept core elements mainly focused around the Gargoyles, the Gargoyle OC's, and SOME non-canon threats and situations? 100% yes. It'd be much easier on you to not worry about what the hell Venom and Blue Recluse are doing since this isn't about THEM, it's about the Gargoyles. Keep them ONLY if you can find a way to work them in without the main focus being centered on them in some way. Like, Venom becoming an Anti-Hero like he is in the Venom movie or the comics. Hell, i the comics Venom became a LEGIT hero at some point. |
Guest chapter 36 . 6/4/2019 guardian style here big fan please continue |
history86 chapter 36 . 6/4/2019 continue please |
ReviewerDWJ chapter 36 . 6/4/2019 Start a new story with similar concepts. While I admit that the idea that Elisa becoming a gargoyle and staying one which eventually causes her to stay with Goliath is a good concept. The problem I had with this story was it was part of a big universe with Avengers and Justice League, interesting concept but too much. Let Gargoyle part stand out on its own. ReviewerDWJ |
weekes32 chapter 36 . 6/4/2019 Elisa as a gargoyle with Goliath in a more modern setting. |
Peacelovefairy chapter 35 . 1/17/2019 I'm sorry not to see more of this story but thank you for a wonderful story I will enjoy rereading it |
Dimension Distorter chapter 34 . 10/26/2018 When I wanted a Gargoyle story, this is NOT what I was expecting! Not only is Elisa the gargoyle we all wanted her to be but you got mutants, magic, meta-humans, even shit mixed in from the gargoyle COMICS! Once I saw Katana, I was ELATED Brooklyn would get his love life before the others, something he's constantly gipped out of in the series! And there are even human turned gargoyles! ANOTHER thing I wanted but never expected to see! Honestly, for a second, I was wondering if you were gonna give the original gargoyles some sort of special superpower to better combat these stronger, crazier foes, but if not, these newcomers are MUCH better! Though, I'm wondering if Kevin is ever gonna find a mate. Pretty tricky line up for him here. |
Celgress chapter 34 . 10/13/2018 Story Note - A recent review made me think I should post the below info here to clear up any confusion regarding the events surrounding Angela's conception in this universe - In Chapter Twenty-Five, I reveal how Demona cast a spell on Goliath to conceive Angela (and hopefully steal Goliath away from Elisa by mind controlling him). Demona was then banished for a period of five years (after her egg was laid, she was imprisoned until then) in part because of this act in the alternate timeline once it was discovered. |
TVfan chapter 34 . 10/13/2018 If in this universe that Elisa was sent back in time and grew up as a gargoyle with the clan in Scotland and became Goliath's mate as they matured... wouldn't Angela be her biological daughter rather than Demona's? Because given how much the "Gargoyles" series has tried to emphasize that gargoyles were rather monogamous when it comes to who is with who, one would assume that Goliath and Elisa became mates at the same general time as Goliath and Demona did in the original timeline, which would in theory be before the breeding season that would lead to Angela's egg being laid. |
Peacelovefairy chapter 34 . 10/13/2018 Oh hell is gonna break loose |
