I was one of the many readers caught up in this saga as you published it- what a ride! But this is the bit that had me yelling at my screen. I so badly wanted Stiles to have a slip of paper in his pocket that had the information they needed. So glad you didn't take the easy way out.

I'm kind of surprised Cho didn't mention the stupid thing Jane's done/is doing because he was/is in love with Lisbon.

First of all: can I please tell you just how happy I am that you chose to use McAllister as RJ? I know most people don't like him as RJ, with good reasons too (some of which I even share), but I love it when people manage to twist canon with all its imperfections to fit their needs. And here you did that perfectly, so that always make for a super enjoyable reading experience, thank you.

Of course, that's not all you did! What an intricate story. Already told you, but I held my breath at every twist. The "will they-won't they-when the hell will they" was especially well done, and all the action! Mashburn, Van Pelt, all the storylines surrounding RJ, the back and forth between past and present for a while, those cliff-hangers that left me unable to stop after only one chapter (seriously, at one point I had to stop in the middle of a chapter just to be sure to get some sleep!)... You got a play-by-play for a week so no need to repeat everything, haha. Glad you decided to keep Grace alive, and the CBI being kept open with Hightower coming back at the end was a nice surprise.

Enjoyed that it was a Van Pelt/Rigsby wedding instead of a Jane/Lisbon one at the end, and not just because I'm not that much into weddings. It was a fitting end for their personal history, as they may have well rebuilt the trust between them but they're not quite to the point where it's possible to skip past their engagement. Plus, the idea of Van Pelt working so hard to surprise Rigsby made me smile. How the heck do you not like that character, you write her so well and make her so endearing?

Anyway. Not only was I completely engrossed for days, but I also learned a lot of valuable writing lessons reading you, so thank you for writing and sharing such a great story.

What a wonderful story this was. It's taken away a lot of my sleeping hours as I had to read on wirh all those cliffhangers. Thank you for keeping th great Mentalist-characters alive.
