I wouldn't rely on Doc Manager to store the chapters while writing them, though. Maybe use Word or something else, and upload it straight into the Manager when done. If you're on mobile, just copy-paste. It's what I do.

oh man, I'm going to try and organize this in order of when I read it ;u; just gonna say, this might be my favourite lawlight fic that I've found so far, and I have read a LOT of lawlight... aaaa ;uuuuu;;;

-shy L... omg ;uuu; the airport scene was so cute. I never realised how much I needed shy L in my life until now. the roof scene practically killed me with all the tension but at the same time it was great to see them being close and talking as friends. and when L was nervous when he hugged light omg ;uuu; my heart. bye. it's gone. and he made light a present and was really happy with the souvenir asdfdrgryhd. omg ;uuu; the way you wrote L's dialogue felt very genuine as well, with all the quirkiness, not sure how to put it but you've got it down well, which a lot of people don't (I can't say I'm the best with it though pffff), I could definitely see him insisting on suddenly starting a collection. while it's hard to think of L being shy in canon, in this situation L hasn't been constantly having to suspect light and mistrust him 24/7, so it's not too far-fetched that he might act a little more casual if he actually let himself become friends with someone. which is unbelievably cute. omg. ;u; I just love non-kira AUs... (slowly continues to ignore and/or sob at canon)

and in any case I love portrayals of L that give him a distinctly human side while not making him OOC in the process.

'no homo' light is admittedly a favourite omg. also, I'm gonna agree with some other reviewers that I like the slow burn, it's nice when there's a lot of relationship development (even if my heart struggles :U U: and feels a need to channel the muses from hercules) and I especially like the focus on their friendship and the fact that despite being on the case together they aren't really /that/ close, not yet. but then they realise how much they need each other and omg... ;u;u;u;
the video chat part was really cute, as was them messaging. omg... ;u;
also whenever light sees L smile and gets happy about it... ;uuuuuuuuuuuuu; (everyone who has watched episode 5 ever knows this feel.)

-L pls. if you can figure out light is kira using the power of bullshit then you can figure out that you are missing another person. :T (contender for second densest material. (he can kick out lanthanum.)

-I may have missed something but I'm not quite sure why soichiro is so... mistrustful? hostile? with L; especially considering he was responsible for solving such a dangerous case such as the kira case. my first thought was that it could be because L still suspected light and made him do the mock execution and that ruined his opinion of L, or just for suspecting his son in the first place, but it could also be because he knows it's obvious that light is about as straight as a circle and really, /really/ wants his anime bishie grandkids. in any case, interested to find out if there are plot reasons involved!

-L being jelly. yes. I am all about this. (even if light somehow crushing on girls is a little past the suspension of disbelief for me :P) 'what's so special about her?' omg, I was like /oh snap/ ;'D

-considering the last chapter, I now happen to wonder if watari has ever had to give L... 'the talk'. ...oh no. (maybe wammy's had sex ed class. I mean, it's still a school. ...unless L just slept through the entire thing. yes. this is my headcanon now.)
