| hanna chapter 1 . 10/6/2016 I loved/hated the ending of my favorite show because I loved the characters too much,and I just wanted them safe and alive,but we had one of the greatest endings ever. Sad,perfectly played and complete. Beautiful and very touching the last scenes between Hurley and Jack. Thanks for writing this oneshot,I think that you are very good at writing canon-stuff. |

| Athena Alexandria chapter 1 . 9/25/2016 As you know, I've been out of the Jate fan fiction loop for a while so I missed this when you first posted it, but this is such a beautiful idea that I think I might have to adopt it as my head canon as well. (Well, if my head canon didn't already consist of the whole Jack turning up alive with amnesia thing. ;)) It actually never occurred to me that Jack might have those kinds of powers until you said it, but it makes a lot of sense. If Kate was pregnant, it would be nice to think that he knew, and that that was part of why he decided to stay behind. I enjoyed the way you wrote Hurley's thoughts on the whole Jate saga here (Thank God you did that or it would have been too sad), and his conversation with calm ghost!Jack. My favourite parts, though, of course, were your descriptions of Jack and Kate's last night together, with him "touching her soul" and giving her some to help her get over losing Aaron, and of the way he sensed something "innocent, warm, and bright" that he needed to protect emanating from her when he kissed her goodbye. I'm not sure if you've considered it, but I for one would love to read a companion piece where Hurley visits a (knowingly or unknowingly) pregnant Kate in LA to pass on Jack's message. |
