Question: will Sirius and Mary be together? I'm not sure so far. But honestly, that's not my priority. My priority is that this is such a great story!

As you might have guessed, I'm really interested by Regulus' relationship with Potter family and especially the mother here. Does he resent her for having play a good part in Sirius' estrangement from his family ? I'm also curious to know what kind of blackmail could she use to order a mother about her own son. It's sad for Remus although Sirius' words are comforting the truth still lies here, all the attraction the girl felt for him was lost at the moment she learnt the truth... I can easily get his distress.

The talk between Regulus was interesting and probably waited, although for my part after what happened in the last chapter I don't see any stable relationship possible between Regulus and any Order member. A good relationship is based on fairness where all parts give as much of themselves, here, Regulus is basically naked to every Order members. Anyway I liked to see James interacting with Regulus and I hope there'll be others talks where the older wizards give more of his thought about their issue with Sirius and the brotherly bond.

Sirius is making Regulus taking very high risk in telling his secrets to everyone, I mean none of them are occlumens (a member captured and bye-bye Reggie boy) and none of them is beyond betraying them (Peter is the best example). The situation is completely different than Snape's one who was outwardly acknowledged as a spy. I feel that the Horcruxes scene was very personal and I found it uncalled to see all the Order member looking at his deepest secrets and his insecurities issues. That's completely unfair and I find it weird no one even recognized the situation as it was, they all are strangers to him even more so than each are between themselves yet they all know more about him than they know about some others... And I repeat, he is the one taking the more risk in the group, yet all I saw his distrust from the Order part which again is unfair.

Please please please update! What a great story, and what a shame it would be of you didn't continue it.

Okay. Deep breath. And I'm back.

Well first of all, I apologize for taking so long to read this. As it sounds like you understand, things have been crazy lately.

This has been my absolute favorite chapter so far. It's like you're plucking all my headcanons out of my head and putting them down on paper and I just absolutely adore that. I can't get enough of your characterizations, especially of Sirius and James. It's seriously immaculate. I can't get enough of Sirius' flashback. I seriously had to read it three times before I could move on because it was good. I actually started to write a similar scene a while back, with Sirius contemplating jumping from the Astronomy Tower and James talking him down. Yours is so much better. I love how despite the serious situation, the whole conversation between him and James have this lighthearted, casual feel to it. That's exactly what I had totally missed in my attempt. "Now, you need to think about whether you're really going to jump. Because if you do, I'm going with you." Goosebumps at that line. Perfection.

And then the way that you took that really low point in Sirius' life and used it to show how he was the only one that was capable of comforting Mary was just so sweet. I loved the moment share between them and how Sirius is able to understand exactly what she needs in order to get through this.

This is my favorite story that I'm currently following. I hope to see another update soon! :)

This was a beautiful chapter. The flashback scene was perfectly placed, and I loved that little bit more insight into Sirius's character. It also led perfectly into the interaction between Sirius and Mary. I have to congratulate you on your development of Mary's character, you've truly made me love and admire her, and she and Sirius are perfect together. Thanks for this :)

P.S. You should consider publishing a novel of your own. Your ability to develop character and plot is truly remarkable. Of course I'm only a schoolgirl writer but that's my opinion :)

This is a very interesting, very well written story, and I really like the premise. But I'd definitely like to see more or Regulus, particularly him and Sirius, which I feel is pushed more to the wayside in later chapters.

The...feels...Mary and Sirius helping each other out because of their broken little souls - well...Sirius helping Mary because of all that. And then Regulus having to deal with Voldemort and co...
And I totally didn't think about Snape. Wonder what he's going to do with the info of Lily...
