Thank you for this novel, I binged it in two days. And I would love to see you continue this once more.

This is a fun read, but I've made it to the end of my interest. The arc and chapter pacing is pretty good, and the overall outline is fairly well done.

Your in scene pacing is a bit rushed, and you're ignoring all the senses save dialogue and all at once descriptions. Try writing some scenes (for practice) where theres no visuals, or no dialogue.

The action fight scenes generally feel rushed. Maybe it's too much smashed into each paragraph, or maybe it's the lack of showing what harry is thinking or feeling. But written action and combat generally comes across better for me when it feels like seconds stretch into minutes and the characters struggle with the situation or their choices.

The racing scenes come across really well in your style, to be fair.

There is a distinct lack of long term conflict in the story. It makes it feel like a long chain of fan service episodes like in anime. Fun is fun, but eventually the initial hook wears off; the reason I'm leaving this review before reaching the end. There are bursts of action, but very little suspense, foreshadowing, or overreaching goals.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the story plenty. But I would love to see you grow as a writer, and come back to your page eventually and be able to find something truly awesome to read.

On the pilot front, both fantastic, and much better than Harry being a dipshit beat cop.

As to the fast and farteous, Harry Jamming the Torreto "Family" every time out would be funny as fuck.

Like even the stupid tanker truck in... 4 I think? Harry lets the torreto crew steal the tanker trucks, they turn the crank, and dog piss pours out instead of gas.

Have fun being robin hood assholes, without results, toretto crew!

Honestly, anyone who calls this stuff boring can go fuck themselves. I hate the "Event" flicks where we have to destroy London, we have to destroy Sydney, and it's always some megalomaniac dipshit in need of a lead enema, and that doesn't work so they need a space ranger.

Fuck that, give me more people on expensive car road trip meaning of life stuff, it's great! And you don't need bullshit CGI, just some skilled drivers.

I do think Harry should be a pilot though, I remember being a passenger when my pilot buddy's instructor told him "Now, Mc Carran is an international airport, and we're in a Cessna. No Pressure, but if you fuck up, you'll never fly again."

It was his dad's plane, we stuffed the seatbacks with those nasty hooker fliers. (He was fine)

I think the most fun I've had at a marvel movie was when Tony Stark was building that first suit. The run before walking, the ride around the pier, the height record... so much better than the purple asshole from the avengers. AND FUN!

I swear, riding a horse under a Colorado sky is some of the best time I've spent.
I think it's fantastic you actually worked some Hagrid education in there. Yeah, Harry did the work, but Hagrid wasn't always the stupid asshole fanfic likes to paint him as.

Once again, thank you for a fantastic outing. It's like episodes of a prestige TV series. I remember Fox had that shortlived series "fastlane" and this reminds me of how fun that show was.

So many boring stupid procedurals, I'd watch the shit out of a Harry Steel series.

Holy shit, I've read war fics where Harry leads regiments, heh, Space fics where admirals sip whiskey and try to figure out how not to die,

But this track chapter was fun as fuck! The only racing game car I've ever driven is the D class Mazdaspeed familia from Forza 2 and the D class Yaris from Forza 3 (Fuck that car).

But this chapter made me feel like I was riding shotgun. Like sports movies that excite the way the actual sports don't.

This was fantastic, and I thank you for the experience of reading it.

I miss that mazda, some dickhead in a tacoma missed his offramp and sawed the front off it. My mom and I left without a scratch, but that poor car died hard.

Every single time I read this story, i hit this chapter and get an immediate drop when I remember that you quit because of asshats on the site.

Wanted to thank you for leaving your stories still up. A number of stories I have enjoyed reading over again a been pulled down when writers decided to quit writing. I have just finished rereading Investigator Harry Steel again. Makes about the ninth time or so. Still as good a read as ever. Hope life has been treat you well. Thanks again for the stories.
