Yay! America acknowledges Imperial!Russia

Rant fics can be so (brutally) honest though and I throughly enjoy them. I think a lot of your 'rant' is still applicable today. I try not to think about our militay industrial complex which you alluded to or our current civil unrest. It's all so depressing. That little hint of fluff was just what it needed.

This is an incredible interpretation of the Cold War! I am currently learning of this war in class so this story was very enjoyable and made me remember many events that relate to this fanfic. You did an awesome job!

This was wonderful! I love how honest and done/exhausted America is. I love how you wrote Russia's responses to America's 'unusual' behavior. This is exactly the kind of thing I picture when I think of these two during the cold war-not just the anger/fury/propaganda-fuelled-hatred, but also the exhaustion and desire to just be done with it all. I alos like how you referenced their past friendship and ended the fic with that small seed of hope that they could maybe get that again. Overall, great job; I love reading your fics

Excellent story, and all good points, other than the part regarding the civil wars. Russia indirectly supported America during his civil war, by preventing European interference with American ships/ports. Something that people always seem to forget that America sent in troops, weapons, and other direct support against the Red Army during the Russian Civil War. So if anything, America has provided more direct support for Russia during a civil war than received. Sorry for the short history lesson, but since Hetalia is all about history, I hope I can be forgiven. I am honestly not trying to nitpick, because all of your Cold War information is pretty much spot-on. Thanks for sharing! :)

The points made here were incredibly valid. If only, if only, we saw through it before. Could've saved us a whole lotta stupid paranoia bullsh*t, and relations between the two countries would probably be much better today.
