Think about it ... how many times have you read stories where Hermione is described as launching herself at Harry and tackling him to the ground with her hugs? Ten? A hundred? Many more, for me. Like Molly, she insists on giving hugs that hurt. Why? I can't help thinking there is something hidden going on with a comforting gesture that causes pain. Once again, you seem to see Luna and Harry as I do. They have a lot in common, and her presence has a healing effect on him. She is the one person, I think, who can help Harry navigate the ... well, crimes, I think ... that have been perpetrated against him and attain closure without destroying himself in the process. im not sure anyone else can do that. I think she can also help him get away from the Users of Magical Britain without feeling guilty. Good story. |
