Questions though:
How does he open a refrigerator? It's confusing. I feel like it would be better to explain in this chapter than the next. Would it be better if it was on the counter?
Could it go like this:
Geoffrey wasn't sure why Merlin looked at him so funny. He didn't change, did he? He was still Merlin's bestest best friend.
Merlin could only stare at Geoffrey in horror.
(Not sure what kind of dog Geoffrey is)
His beloved dog had turned so fat. His stomach bulged, touching the ground, and he was panting harder than usually.
Merlin glared at Galahad.
"Really? I leave you with him for /five/ days." He rants. "Five days! And he almost doubles in size."
Galahad looked away sheepishly.
"What have you been feeding him?" Merlin asks in horror.
"What do you mean he can open a refrigerator?" He rolls his eyes. He is just a dog.
Merlin made an exaggerated motion of opening a door. "Like this?"
Galahad rose a brow, "Of course not."
*Add reason of how he opens the refrigerator*
Geoffrey watched the two talk curiously.
He was annoyed that Merlin wasn't talking to him. He whined softly as he circled Merlin's leg.
"Play with me!" He barked.
Merlin bend down and patted Geoffrey's head.
"That's it. Diet time." He sighed wearily.
Geoffrey tilted his head to the side.
"What's diet? Is it a sweet?" He asked happily. He loved sweets.

I love "best of all best friends"! This are such fun stories. You're great at writing "dog." How about Merlin and Geoffrey are supervising a training exercise on tracking and they discover something unexpected?
