I have always loved the earrings scene in 6.23, quite possibly the only saving grace in what I thought was a catastrophic slapstick/crazy cliffhanger of an episode.

That simple statement of 'they've been waiting for you' summed up the whole programmes 6 seasons, about how Castle had to change to become worthy of a woman like Beckett.

I adore any attempt by authors to expand on this incident and this is probably the best. Great fanfic
