Two and a half years after you published this story and I have only just come across it. Winning the fanfiction competition was well deserved as this was an awesome story! Lots of depth and detail. Good job!

I like it

This was by far my favourite chapter, simply due to one part: Raph's expletive. It's so easy to picture him terrified at what he'd had to do that he just lets one loose. And leaving the actual word to our imagination as opposed to writing it out was what sent it home for me.

If I was to have one minor (and I do mean minor) critique, it would be that there are times when you use the same word in a paragraph too often (for example, using "rope" in four consecutive sentences has a tendency to sound too repetitive). You don't do it very often, but in a story of such high caliber, it does stand out just a touch.

Like I said, very minor.

Once again, extremely well done.

I know I'm late to the party but I had to leave a review to let you know how awesome this story is. I was pretty sad when i got to the end but I'm really glad i finally decided to check out your other work! You have a real gift for writing :)

Oh my goodness! This story is absolutely wonderful - and it has it all: all the turtles are completely in character, not a false or unbelievable moment for any of them; hurt Leo (my first favorite yummy)!; a very exciting and wonderfully written search and rescue; medical stuff (my second favorite yummy - on hurt Leo! (my third favorite yummy!); and true brotherly love, devotion, and turtle fluff! All absolutely wonderfully done! Absolutely loved this wonderful story:
Mikey getting Leo to clean up the majority of the spilled oatmeal, Raph baiting Leo with his 'hear aid' and 'grandpa' comments while turning up the music; and the brother's collective 'light bulb' moment when they all realize Leo is missing and had been for some time and how they then quickly organized themselves into a search and rescue team! And Leo! The way you wrote him doing what little first aid he could and then just waiting in the dark for his brothers - nothing much happened - Leo was just slumped there waiting but his struggles and his faith in them made it absolutely thrilling, absolutely compelling reading! Beautiful, amazing story! Adding to favorites!
