so hello there!
I read through this last night and then I dreamed of it so obviously I have to comment. It's a law!
Even though I found a few mishaps here and there I really enjoyed this! I was searching for some interesting crossover ideas and I found it and I love it, and I am very happy about it!

Through the last two chapters I wanted to shake Rikou and tell him. "Yes now you have the opportunity to infiltrate! Just throw Kappa in there with a story off "We want to protect him and here is probably safer than with us, cause riots" and bam. (Ignoring the fact that the X-men (mostly) already know they aren't mutants but Rikou doesn't know that.)

Which just shows, you've got me invested. I like the idea, and I am very curious how this is going to evolve. On the one hand yokai now have an "out" if they actually get discovered. "cause we're mutants. Everyone knows about mutants" on the other hand its actually pretty bad that the mutants got discovered, because people will be more ... for the look out ... It is probably not as easy to conceal strange happenings, if people expect there to be people who have strange powers and looks.

The story is fascinated in all fronts because both groups have a lot in common, and Rikuo actually wants to protect Humanitarian, which is contrary in what Youkai normally do.

Great story the name kind of confused me

I love that this crossover exists. You've done such a great job of combining these two worlds, giving the yokai a real and believable purpose for their involvement. While there is a difference between early and later chapters, I'd hardly consider it distracting. There are a few typos early on and one inconsistency where Kappa mentions the Brotherhood then later doesn't know about them. If you wanted to go back and edit, that'd be okay, but there isn't really anything that takes away from the understanding or the story in general, so it's up to you.

I really like what you've shown of the friendships between the mutants and yokai. I find it funny that Gozu and Mezu are friends with the Brotherhood, especially because they both tend to look down on humans and nonmutants, what they consider the others to be. (Well, maybe not Mezu so much...) I'm definitely interested to see what happens with Hank and Xavier's discovery and whether or not the yokai will get drawn into conflict. Also, do Yohime and Rihan count as mutants, since their ability to heal seems unrelated to yokai? Would that make Rikuo a mutant, or diluted atleast, since that heritage allows him to heal a bit faster?

I kind of made a comment about Gozu and Mezu before, that I learned in canon theybare actually in a relationship. But I forgot to take into account whether or not you would find that offensive as I know some people don't like it or they're homophobic(which I don't like but what can you do?) And while I certainly hope I didn't offend you and I'm sorry for it if I did, but I sincerely hope you aren't homophobic or strongly dislike such things since its not a sin or anything like that. People should be allowed to love who they want without fear. 3

Could Rikuo use Matoi, using his subordinates fear/powers, with mutants?
Could Rikuo add The Morlocks to his clan? Or who would be leader of Mutant Clan?

Oh thank Nature I keep getting scared that you stopped writing this and then a new chapter goes up and it's all I can think about.

Also, I agree that your writing style has changed (for the better in my opinion) but the change is so subtle that it doesn't really affect the reading and I would MUCH prefer you just continued writing instead of rewriting already fine chapters.

Great job on the chapter! I think that your writing style has definitely matured, but it’s pretty natural growth from your two year hiatus. If you want to rewrite the beginning of the story, I think you should go for it! If this takes time away from continuing the story, though, I would prefer new chapters to a more polished beginning X)
