You're not going to have it be the cause of Ed's hand's on Alchemy are you because I have to say one of the most impressive traits Ed has is theft that he doesn't need to rely on any machine or tool. (One could argue about his arm but I think he would be able to do it anyway since the entire point is Ed making his body into an alchemy circle)

Cool. I really liked how you included Al nd made sure to mention his inability to sleep. Especially since it would be thought that this chapter would be all about ed, whats with the automail and that.
The one thing you didn't mention that i believe is quite important is that attatching automail can make grown men scream, but ed was strong and determined enough not to.
Nice touch, winry! I can't wait to see what others make of the ring, as well as what they make of the boys being ishvalan. But another thing that was sligtly confusing is when you first wrote about them being half and half, and were writing something anout the color of ed's eyes... I sortof want you to just describe them straight out (skin, hair, eye, height, that stuff). Maybe you can add that in for when ed goes to become a state alchemist, and their description can be the first impressions or something.
I dunno if i, really understandable, but i think you get the gist. Next chapter i can't wait for ed to practice his new alchemy with the clap. Its gonna be awesome!
Im glad you were motivated to write. Much of the time i will write one chapter and then go weeks before even starting the other... Bit i have learned that even one paragraph a day is extremely good for the story.

Hello person whom I don't necessarily know! I'm here to make your day with a little ol' review!
First things first, the story. Clearly, you are going for a sort of rewrite, but with diferent reactions and of course characters. The problem with this is usually that there is a constant need to keep watching the episodes so you don't forget anything, and also that rewriting things that happen in an episode tend to be arduous and frankly quite boring for the author. The best part of a story is always the part that you get to put your own little flair into. But that said, i think that so far you are doing a good job of writing. The only thing i would tell you to do is choose which things you think you ought to keep, and focus solely on those by putting in a lot of detail. Don't try to put in every little thing from the show, because unless you have devotion enough to note all the side glances and expressions, the fic will end up just being very rushed and not such good quality.
I would be happy for you to IM me if you have some specific problems with the writing of this story. Don,t take advantage, of course, but with a story like this i think it would be fun to beta or whatever.
Heh, i just got interested in this idea because of Viria's artpiece that i randomly caught a glimpse of on tumblr... Just remember, every time you feel like quitting, whenever you get discouraged, just calm yourself, get organized, and take things one baby step at a time. No matter how long it takes. Sometimes it is necessary to go months at a time, but its summer (for me at least, im hoping for you too) and this is a great way to spend free time.
