This was significantly different from 'Paris in April', setting, characters and end game are all different. I liked how Rose was older than she looked, and could relate in a way to the Doctor with having nightmares from the War. It is nice that they are closer in age, less questions asked. I liked how they talked, and how she asked him to walk her home. Which of course started all the fun.

Ahh, thank you! I adored April in Paris so I'm very happy you indulged me and wrote this pair again.

This is a great take on Nine and Rose. I like how Rose is a bit older, because I generally want Rose to be a bit more mature and upping her age helped to justify her confidence in addition to the time frame. And it was a good contrast to John being less secure, at least in terms of accepting and revealing his past. Between bringing their ages closer together and giving them matching scars, I think you did a good job of subtly evening the playing field a bit. As much as I like human Nine and Rose AUs, I think sometimes they struggle because bringing these two together isn't always the most realistic notion, and it gets forced because we know how the canon characters work. Here and in some of your other pieces as well you are good at avoiding this issue and making the plots believable.

Am I right in thinking your unfortunate bartender was Ianto from Torchwood? I definitely had his face in mind, which might have made me feel a bit worse for your bartender that if he was a random face, but regardless I enjoyed how you used the bartender to bring these two together. I think I'd have been running if I had Nine and Rose both snarking at me, haha.
