CT7567Rules chapter 2 . 6/23/2018 The Garand may not have been in Fallout 3, but its one of my favorite American World War 2 weapons. I hope to see the 1897, Thompson and BAR later. |
The Last Kenpachi chapter 22 . 6/23/2018 I did something similar to that in Fallout 4 using VATS to blow up a grenade I threw. |
PartyPat22 chapter 18 . 4/18/2018 The glassed sand was a nice detail, but it's a bit unnecessary for Phil Collins to call out about plasma. If a plasma bolt can hit you, a bullet can just as easily. |
PartyPat22 chapter 15 . 4/18/2018 You tend to use "hyped-up" rather than the common phrase "hopped-up" when describing drug-addled murderers. When describing a weapon or round, specifically 10mm, you needn't separate the number from the measurement abbreviation. Your writing tends to overuse phrases such as 'they smiled' and you have a tendency to use the same word twice within the span of a sentence or two, which interrupts the flow of the writing/is awkward. I have enjoyed the ideas you've presented in this story, such as German command phrases for Dogmeat (although expanding on these with how he learned them and taught them to Dogmeat would be a nice detail), Talon Company's origins (although Littlehorn's motivations are a bit unclear regarding using Talon to stir up trouble), the modernized Sherman tanks, the freight elevators of Rivet City, the basement addition to the Lone Wanderer's house, raiders using blowtorches to breach 101's walls, the feral using a pipe (ferals should conceivably use whatever they get their hands on to attack), the MP9 attachments, the need for winter clothing, etc. At one point you described the garand as using .30-06, then at another time you described it as using .308 like the rechambered "battle rifle" from New Vegas. As for reloading, the garand CAN in fact be reloaded without exhausting the clip. It is highly uncomfortable to do so however, as it requires you to reach inside and take the risk of mashing your fingers. Overall, I would rate your writing as overwhelming average. Nothing is particularly terrible, bad, good, or great. This is mainly due to a lack of description. The more adjectives the better generally, especially in combat. Your protagonist comes off as a bit of an unconfident virgin type. That would be fine if you were writing him as of being fresh-out-of-the-vault, but he's an experienced warrior, and presumably possesses a forceful personality when dealing with a hostile situation. Also, you describe him as being decent when it comes to the trade skills such as repair, not exactly a master of them; he somehow disarmed an atomic bomb though. Of course that's more Bethesda's ridiculous writing than your own plot choices. |

The Last Kenpachi chapter 19 . 4/7/2017 Deathclaws are simple. Hard but not complex. Go for the legs and the underbelly. |
