That sounds fun and kind of mildly romantic, strangely enough. Haven't they figured out that bachelor parties and their female equivalent should be held at least a couple of days before the actual ceremony? Yikes!

How is it that you could make 2 people vomiting together adorable? Although it was pretty stupid of them to have their parties the night before the wedding. What bride wants to get married a couple of hours after spending the night vomiting with no sleep?! Jess covering them with the towel was especially sweet. I laughed out loud at the Peter Petrelli comment. And what the hell is Rory gonna do about her tattoo?!. I'm tuning in for the next chapter!

I think this was really sweet! Poor Persuasion though, I actually really like that book, if any Austen should have to go that route, it's Mansfield Park- Fanny is such annoying sanctimonious little dipshit (sorry for my language but seriously!)
I think the sentiment of this, while a little gross, was really sweet. You have to really love someone to kiss them with vomit/tequila breath. Their affection for each other and the in sickness and in health thing really comes through : )
I guess my only criticism, if you want to call it that, is that I don't understand why they would have their bachelorette/bachelor parties the night before the wedding. I know it used to be tradition but I think people these days usually avoid that for this very reason and do the rehearsal dinner instead.
Hopefully Rory can get her tattoo removed, that might be a funny one-shot actually.

Yeah, that tattoo is going to be a sore point tomorrow, in more ways than one. Rory is going to wish she never! As for Austen's Persuasion, I have to admit, it's probably my least favourite of her novels, but having it fall in the toilet and throwing up all over it was maybe an insult too far! :P Oh well, they can buy another copy later, I guess. In the meantime, there are more important things to think about, like a wedding! But I am curious as to what gift may or may not have been in the pinata Jess threw off the Brooklyn Bridge...

Anywho, can't believe you thought this chapter was anything other than awesome, because that is exactly what it is, and don't let anybody tell you any different!

Loved it! I love how they started out at whole foods. I shop there occassionally (food for my kid) and it definitely is the place to go if you want to watch people...well, when you're sick of the Walmart people, that is.

It's crazy that they ended up following him to their apartment. In real life it would be a much bigger coincidence but here, in story-land, not so much.

Robert Redford, huh? Good looking guy. He didn't age so well, but I applaud him for not taking drastic measures, like Bruce Jenner before the transgendered thing came out or Brett michaels.

Rob does sound like a Jess 2.0, but the main difference is that cat's parents liked him off the bat whereas Lorelai didn't like Jess until much later (according to the typical literati fanverse). How old is Rob supposed to be? Same age as Jess when he wrote his book?

Whole Foods. Nope, no idea. Glad you explained a little. I am English, I know nothing of your fancy American stores :P Sounds like I'd hate it anyway. Far too pretentious.

Anywho, another excellent chapter, my dear! Rory and Jess having to deal not only with their little girl growing up and having a boyfriend, but the realisation that she's dating a version of her father as a teen too - it's almost too good! lol A little weird maybe, but I guess it makes sense. Me and my mum often comment on the hotness of the same guy in a movie or on TV... I dunno whether that's odd or not, but I don't care either way. So yeah, Rob is a variant on Jess and I kinda dig it actually.

Bonus points for The Ramones in this chapter. I'm gonna be singing 'Sheena' all evening now! lol

Most important, I love that in spite of apparently being made to feel so old by their daughter, Rory & Jess still got it ;)

Oh. My. God. This is my favorite chapter so far! It's just so...so...beautiful! It's the perfect glimpse into their life. The perfect overview of them as parents and Catherine as their daughter. She truly showcases both them perfectly. I've fallen in love with this storyverse! Your writing is excellent once again and I'm privileged to read this and enjoy it fully! Keep it up, love!

I'm so sorry I'm just getting to this! But let me tell you, I'm fucking enthralled! Lord it's refreshing to read some well-written words. You made me fall in love with these two all over again. How's the book going for you? I just about wanted to slit my throat trying to get through it! The ending...oh the ending. I think i actually threw my book across the room. I'm definitely with Rory on this side of the argument...but...like Rory, I also can see a few merits hidden in the over-the-top description of hills and completely sexist view of the world. ANYWAY, I loved this and am excited to read the rest!

Ok so I have to start this by putting in context how I first read it. I was on my lunch break, I had like ten minutes left, and I was trying to snarf down a burger, fries, and a custard in a manner in which Lorelai would've been very proud all while hoping this guy I like wouldn't walk by. I found it hilarious that I was sitting there, stuffing my face with junk food as I'm reading about Rory and Jess's reaction to Whole Foods.
Both times I read this, I was absolutely in stitches! Oh the wit!
I think my favorite parts were "Oooh, let's follow him!"
"He's definitely calling the cops."
and "Do you live here?"
"Yeah, do you?"
It's so great to see Jess facing a mini-me, oh who am I kidding, it's freaking adorable.
Ahhh, Rory and Jess are never irrelevant. : ) Liking this Robert guy but yeah, I have to agree with Rory, you can't beat the original Dodger. I'd love to see a chapter of Robert's reaction to his girlfriend's eccentric parents, or even from Cat, it's always fun to see Rory and Jess from someone else's perspective.
On a more serious note, I think with every chapter, you really grow as a writer, the pacing, the wit, each one is more wonderful than the last. I love that each one sort of explores a different theme from the last one, it's very evident you think your content through carefully.
Oh and if the Whole Foods you're referring to is the one in Chelsea, I've totally been there. I saw Whoopi Goldberg instead of Lou Reed/Brad Pitt but hey it was still fun.
Your author's note made me laugh, I was like who has never heard of a Whole Foods, where do they live Brigadoon? (yes that was a Veronica Mars reference) And then I realized that not everyone lives in hippy-ville like I do. I swear, we're becoming more like Northern California every single day. Bleh.
Anyways, I LOVED this! Definitely my favorite chapter, although I really have loved all of them!

I'm always one for drama but I love it even more when characters are sarcastic. So, yes, I'm loving this and the humor you bring to it!
