| ireallyneedalifeoutsidetv chapter 1 . 2/22/2015 I don't usually read fics that have angst as a genre or those that involve Jane prepping for her wedding with Casey, but I am SO glad I read this one! This is one of those fics you read and then think to yourself, why the hell is this person not writing the show?! You always write Jane & Maura very true to character but this is on a whole other level. You did an amazing job of capturing Maura's emotions, particularly during her conversation with Constance and when she suggests Jane wear a tuxedo. I love how Jane smiles at the idea, because of course Maura knows what it is that she (Jane) wants, and how quick she is to defend her. I also loved the part with Jane's inner monologue when she realizes how it all feels wrong without Maura there. When Maura pulled back the veil... it's the moment I was waiting for. That moment when it all became too real and she couldn't hold it in any longer. And I absolutely loved Jane's panicky reaction because it felt very real. Like she knew all along why it didn't feel right but wouldn't admit it to herself until it came from Maura. Jane repeating Maura's words back to her about her dream wedding was the most perfect thing you could have written. You hit me right in the feels. AND THAT ENDING! I love that Jane knew exactly when Maura was referring to when she said, "I told you I loved you and you never said it back." Seriously amazing job! I absolutely loved it. |
