For not having planned for a second chapter this was a very good second chapter! I really enjoyed it. Loved the banter between Hetty and Deeks. Looking forward to the continuation - will definitely be keeping an eye out for Ballistic Betterment.

I think this is a good start, and I'll be looking forward to reading more. I'm curious why it was that Hetty picked Japanese for Deeks, and hope there's a story there as well. And I have a feeling that between these lessons and the ones with Kensi, poor Deeks is going to be one walking bruise in no time.

One small thing: it's defuse a bomb, not diffuse (that means to spread out, like a cloud of steam diffuses).

Clever beginning with hints about future chapters that have me very interested as to where you will take our Mr. Deeks, as these classes seem fairly violent...what a way to learn a language.
