Reviews for In Tune
SirchSidhe chapter 52 . 8/1
This has been a wonderful work. Thank you for sharing it.
Nikys chapter 52 . 7/8
I have no idea how I could have possibly missed this story but damn it's good.

I really like the way you smoothly proceed with story, exposing hidden details one at the time but not too much to deduce all of them.

Also it's dramatic as hell, especially last chapters. After all the length of story I've felt slightly hollow with how epilogues happened. Like if they were different story with little link to the main story.

Still, it's one of the best written and well-thoughted stories. I wish you best luck on all of your endeavors!
ffanpan chapter 52 . 4/14
Finished reading this about a week ago. Just wanted to say what a fanfic you have written! I have not seen any of the rebuilds of Neon Genesis, so I don't want to embarrass myself by complimenting you on something that was in the rebuilds. So I'll just leave it at that.

But I will say, I can tell you had fun and put in a lot of effort into putting this story together. I know I'm one of the first people to comment on this story in about 5 years, but that doesn't take away how good of a fanfic this was. Thank you for this story!
Guest chapter 28 . 12/15/2019
You actually gave him a goddamn Thompson Contender with special ammunition. Magnificent. Absolutely magnificent.
Chipmaster chapter 52 . 8/28/2019
Finally got around to reading this and I enjoyed it just as much as Cold Calculus. Honestly wish you could publish these as you deserve to get paid for the quality you write.
Sendril chapter 3 . 7/23/2019
Good chapter. The development seems good, Shinji is getting more confident and is gradualy changing in relation to the series. I AM really hopping to see Asuka debut and How her and Shinji relationship will develop.
Sendril chapter 2 . 7/23/2019
Good chapter. Interesting and i think that a romance with a Shinji and Asuka that had fone though proper medical Care for their traumas will be really Fun.
Uemei chapter 52 . 7/9/2019
I still don't necessarily like the extra-Gainax crossover aspects of the fic, but I did like that we got a peak at what was going on in Asuka's timeline. I would have loved to see Misato from Shinji's timeline, hopefully sailing into the stars, perhaps reminiscing or plotting with Ritsuko.

But that's got me thinking of other ways this could have gone. Consider that it's been close to 30 years for some of these characters, their drive and motivations could have changed in that time too. I'd have loved to see Asuka talking to Yui about Shinji, or have watched Shinji help humanity survive in their new hell, kind of mirroring/realizing Rei's original purpose.

And now THAT has got me thinking of a whole other alternate story with an even lighter hearted ending. Suppose everyone was from a single instrumentality, and their chosen atonement was to stop those mistakes from repeating. So they tell every universe they run into, 'this is it, you're our last hope.'

All complaints aside though I am going to look at your back catalogue of works. We share some tastes, and I'd love to see what you could do with a dedicated 40k fic. Message me if you're ever professionally published anywhere, I think I might want to read some more of you.

Until then, keep writing.
Uemei chapter 43 . 7/8/2019
I don't necessarily like the crossover characters in earlier chapters, and crossing into 40k here also rubs me the wrong way, but I'm vehemently opposed to the idea that Re-Take was deemed a failed universe. Whether it was intentional or not, it feels like you're crapping on that fandom. Albeit the sequel they're making now may well just crap itself anyways.

That complaint lodged I would have preferred if you had said something along the lines of, Re-Take was virtually perfect, and when Misato asked why they didn't just go there, they could say the external entity surpassed our power to enter the world.

I'd also liked to heard a reference to Bijutsubu's Epilogue and Happy End of Evangelion here, but after 43 chapters those are my only complaints so far, and they may just be a knee jerk reaction to you having arbitrarily killed a world I loved. I'll post a final review after I finish reading the rest of this.
Ghost Man chapter 52 . 6/13/2019
Well played, good sir. You created quite the orchestra. I greatly appreciated the various melodies of this piece, and I wish you luck in future endeavors. If anyone needs some sort of encouragement from a recent chapter, I greatly encourage the reader to have patience and read this in full. It's a story of a writer who has quite the future should they get the desire to go beyond the fanfic. I think they could pull off some Crichton-level work ;) Or even give Alan Wake a run for his money.
Ghost Man chapter 21 . 6/10/2019
I swear Rei was just trolling Asuka...without realizing the terminology

Huh...and Mana enters the frey
John Spangler chapter 52 . 6/7/2019
Well well well, this was unexpected. But you know what? I loved it! And even if you don't write a sequel or even if you don't come back to this fandom, I'll always be grateful to you for creating such a masterpiece. Thanks for writing!
Dreka chapter 52 . 6/6/2019
I was really pumped when I got this chapter notification, seeing a bit more of this side universe you made is a nice treat. In Tune is simply one of the best fan fiction pieces I’ve ever read, and I’ve always wanted more.

I have to be selfish and say that you should definitely come back to Evangelion, even if it isn’t a sequel to this masterpiece. I have no reasons to convince you and don’t seriously expect you to, but I also never expected another addendum to this story so who knows?

Either way, as always, thank you for sharing these with us.
Glasrevin chapter 51 . 5/12/2019
Thanks for the story, was a great read
