I really don't like Twilight, no - I hate it with passion, but I love your story. Nikki is great character, she's far better than Bella, and with her I started to like that universe.
As I said, I love Nikki. She's such a lovely girl, I like her sarcasm, her way of being.
Even your Edward (ugh, I despite that guy) is better than canonical one.
And I really like America. He is awesome (but sadly not as awesome as Prussia). I hope he'll appear more often in the future.
I can't wait for moment when Nikki will discover that the Culles are vampires. And when they will discover that she is New York City. God, it will the most awesome scene ever.
I can't wait for update.

Chapter 2 and it's already instantly better than the original Twilight (in my opinion). I love your writing style, and the story is pretty awesome. Nikki is a wonderful protagonist, and hopefully you can make Edward into a good character (a professional in domestic abuse noted 15 traits of abuse in Edward in the original Twilight Saga). I can't wait for the next update~

I'm not a fan of twilight by far ,but I'm definitely enjoying this! That my friend is an accomplishment of it self.

I personally HATE Twilight with a burning passion but (and no offense to Stephenie Meyers) if it was like this I would have actually enjoyed it. I like NYs personality and her I'm-not-depressed-about-everything that Bella had. Also, I hope she won't become a damsel in distress later and actually finds Edwards stalking creepy. Lastly, how are you going to do Jacobs story without the childhood connection? Anyway I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Well, that answered my question about the ceilings, though I didn't know Alfred was so devious. I can't say that I really like New York's attitude, but I find it fitting for the state she represents. Also, kudos on the whole 'insomnia for the city that never sleeps.' That was actually quite ingenious.

I can't wait to see more of this, but I probably won't understand a bit of it because I could never force myself to finish Twilight. Quick question though. If Nikki is the personification of New York, is she the personification in the story as well, or is she human? Also, wouldn't that mean she would technically have 50 siblings? How would that work?
