Wow dude my bad I just realized I read this chapter but forgot to write a review for it. Good thing I went back to look it up again before I went onto the next chapter so I'll try to seem amazed.

The shootout in Cypress Flat was just wow. BSU took a loss but I do see this as somewhat of a win they went to LS took on the Vagos without intending to, did some damage, and got out alive.

Mai was fucked up but I'm glad Lee stepped in before it got to be bad and I forgot Lee got a good one in on Neto. So is he wearing a patch now or is it not that bad of an injury.

Seeing Ivan and Grizz work together gave me some nostalgia but at the same time I was afraid the entire time Ivan would put a bullet in the back of his head.

Also the lemon was good but at the same time it was kinda unforeseen so are Abe and Sakura about to play major roles in the near future.

Its actually funny you mentioned China trying to colonize them you know China and India are having real problems as of late over territory apparently they had a brawl on a mountain a few days ago that left 20 people dead.

Also it's funny seeing the Armenians using Mexican slang like I get they may roll with them in prison but I didn't think they'd actually be talking like them as well. Also its surprising they look down on the guy rolling with Others when they really split themselves down the middle when they went to prison.

That shootout was hectic but I guess it means Grizz isn't done and I'm happy he found a friends in Kuma and Abe

Hey, man. Sorry if I hadn't reviewed lately. I hadn't read much lately. Not just this story, but in general. Anyway, onto the review.

So I noticed that there was a lot of focus on Ivan's story. You had the bits with him in Liberty City, the big shootout in Chumash, and of course his involvement in the heists. Like in other chapters before, I watched YouTube videos on those Heights and pretended that your characters were involved. I could just imagine in Online that any character would say some of the stuff Neto said to them. Good job on the heists, as well.

As for the prison bit with Paul, I know that I'm going to be reading more now because the thing with him and that guard sounds like it could be an interesting arc. Given the New Arcadia crossover, I could just imagine how Paul would deal with Mark, who is not only a cold-blooded killer, but that guy is also, like how was said, hard to kill. Even when I was reading that story, which I will also get back to, it's amazing how badass this guy is.

Also, the part with Packie, I wonder now if he will meet the quartet. I shall see soon.

When we are gonna have a lemon scene with Gata?

Okay, regarding the Valkyrie mission bit, like other ones before this when you had done some of the Online heists (before you decided to stop with it being connected to GTA Online), I had to watch a video on YouTube to see how it went down. I pretended the characters were Neto, Mai, Ivan, and Paul. Of course, I read that bit first and when I saw the video, it was exactly how I envisioned it.

As for the rest of the story, I really wonder what else will happen with the Angels of Death. I could imagine Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a biker leader, so that basis does work for that character. I wonder what will happen now that Chaska has been killed off. I will find out soon enough. I will continue to read this.

One more thing, being that you use visual basis for some characters, if your stories were games, I try to also imagine the characters sharing the likeness. I don't know if you know this, but most of the characters from GTA V (as well as in Red Dead Redemption 2) had shared the likenesses with their actors. It wasn't just voice-work, either, but also motion-capturing. So in a lot of ways, I kind of imagine things if some of this were a game (same with Ballad; still need to check out your Waston story and others).

I know it's been a bit since I have read and reviewed this. I was also reading New Arcadia, but even I hadn't up on that one lately. With the pandemic going on, I think I will read this one more.

I remember you had told me that Ballad was separate from this one, and also that Joaquin has appeared in this story.. So when I saw that he appeared, I noticed that his background was slightly different. But I am curious about what else could go down with him involved. I mean I saw similarities between him and Neto, except Neto, in my opinion, is slightly more vicious than Joaquin (at least in Ballad).

Even before I went on my initial hiatus from reading this, I remembered the storyline with Paul in prison. This portion of that story seemed interesting. I wondered how you followed up for that one. I guess I will find out soon.

I am now wondering about the deal with Clyde. When I read that, I started to remember something about him abusing Jill. For him to come to Mai like that, it made me see that he wanted Jill back so badly, but it was clear he had no one else to turn to. Mai clearly wanted no part of it. So I wonder what happens next.

Okay as usual sorry for the late review but I gotta say this chapter did a lot of people right in my favor. I'm glad as hell they got their revenge for Cherry even if they didn't fully get it but at least they went after Eddie. And Man Khoi is one sick fuck for that shit.

I can see why you think Lee will like him.

I think Paul and Aila would make a cute couple but I don't see them lasting because they were mostly brought together by Dawn and in truth with Dawn outta the picture I don't see them entirely lasting. I am looking forward to that date though.

Also I'm glad Mark helped Sugar but come on he has to know that Ivan is just setting him up to either be killed or sent back to prison. I'm thinking the latter if not the former for this case.

I was also expecting something more brutal for the man who killed Sugar's kid but it makes sense they aren't Ivan or Neto and I'm still shocked Neto helped him. I'm more surprised he wasn't making jokes about his name and how he hates someone else by that name.

I think Mark and Sugar could make it though as a good couple both seem to want out of the life so I can see it lasting just off that.

Also I knew someone was going to catch that I like to use lesser known guns then everyone else. Most people think that's because i play a lot of Call of Duty, which is true not gonna lie, but it's also because I like for all my characters to show some level of individualism and preference whenever they fight.

Like whenever you watch a movie and you see the nameless soldiers and they're all coming in carrying the same kinda gun usually an MP5 or an M4A1 it doesn't show individualism to me or real style of fighting from your character. They're also succumb to the same weaknesses as one another if they're all carrying Mp5's and there's a Sniper they kinda fucked.

You mentioned Mark using an M1911 which is a bit mainstream but for gang warfare it's not really mainstream especially in this era because its a gun that only fires 7 bullets which isn't really helpful in a shootout unless you're like Mark and making your bullets count.

Also his choice of Rifle, the CM901, is a right up that alley because it can fire either 5.56 or 7.62 rounds in full auto, semi, or burst. All of which is used to help him depending on whatever situation he finds himself in because in a game of chess Mark is everyone's best weapon.

Or like Lee is a Shotgun specialist but not all Shotguns are alike to so he uses one that allows him to have a quick rate of fire, some descent level of range, and preferably doesn't require him to pump.

That something i don't think a lot of people take the time to do or look at when they make their stories just how the choice of weapon they carry can affect their characters battle and what it says about them. A lot like to go with the generic Rifles everyone knows of because everyone knows what it is but i like to paint a picture with my guns.

I'm an artist...of guns.

Also I don't think a lot of people realize that some guns are really just the same as another gun with a different name like Neto's FX-05 is just a Mexican version of a German G36, Mark's CM901 is basically an M4 that does more things, an M4 is nothing but an M16 with a shorter barrel, almost every country in the world has a AK of its own, and M1911's come in different models with different names.

But enough of my ranting on guns.

Wow it was messed up what happened to Cherry but it's sorta her own fault for moving on someone without any real backup. Sure Gina was on the way but come on you couldn't wait another minute or so.

I can see Mai wanting revenge and I can see that as a reason for having Lee back in Los Santos in helping her to get revenge. I can also the Aztecas/Vagos wanting a piece of him for what he'd done.

I read this before I got your message about not showing Ana during the raid on Madraza. I think I can show a flashback of this one. Glad to see Neto's finally got his kid back but I gotta ask why does Alison have a greenlight on her so early.

And yeah I have to admit Madrazo's death was anti-climatic because there was no real build up to it like in Ballad. You knew it was coming but it wasn't as bloody, but it does help to show the differences in plot between the two stories.

I'm happy Paul is coming back into the picture.

So you watched Triple Frontier did you like it, because my main thing with that movie is that you shouldn't get greedy. Especially when you already have more money then you know what to do with

I am not sure how far into New Arcadia I need to get to to understand certain things storyline-wise, but I think like I said before, I may want to read this and that interchangeably for now. Though the bit with Alison and Mark, I am not surprised because even where I am in that story, I really feel something between them.

As for other things, that bit in Liberty City was brutal. I know that you have written Ivan and Neto as vicious, and this is quite possibly one of the most vicious moments of Ivan. So I also see that you got Luis in this but it definitely seems like it wasn't for long, not like in Ballad (at least not until the final parts of it). I did like the continuity with the beef between Luis and Packie.

Anyway, I will keep reading this and New Arcadia to understand things better.

Okay, I'm back with this one. It had been quite a bit since I had read it. I got caught up in reading something else, as well as reading New Arcadia (Which I am also enjoying). Anyway, onto the review.

I enjoyed the fight and exchange between Neto and Marco. It seemed really intense. Also, the way things were presented, I wasn't surprised given how vicious Neto is. Though Marco doesn't seem like a slouch, either. Though it's been a bit since I had actively read this story, I am under the impression that Marco may be a character from New Arcadia, which I have been reading lately, but I might go back and forth between your story and Zilla's. The last line with Neto not wanting anything to do with Mai makes me wonder if it happened in New Arcadia or in a previous chapter in your story.

As for the big heist setup, I hope I see more of it in the next one. I even had to find a video on that heist and like the one with the prison break, as well as the Fleeca job, I had to imagine your characters in the place of the Online characters' places.

I knew the heist was from the netflix movie triple frontier as soon as that sentence where women wants to get out of the country with her brother it reminded me of the movie. Yeah that part where Eddie went dark with killing sherry and then eating her in a cannibalistic way like damn and gina was more about her cheek than her friend. But all in all it was a good Martin dead and Neto reunites with his kid and Paul came back to LS.

I was not expecting Ivan to turn on Grizz like that or really force him into the New Arcadia plan. Ivan's really starting to throw that Russian mafia weight around go his allies which could come back to haunt him.

Okay that lemon hands down best one for this story right now best one a perfect 10 out of 10.

Interesting Sly is still pissed about what happened with Lee maybe we'll see how this plays out later. I can see Pyschos coming after him in the near future especially since after this chapter the war with Merryweather with end and I'll have a few free chapter before the next arc.

Interesting character Botum, she seems more like someone who would probably be better friends with Mai then anyone but its interesting you mention what her kid looks like because I've recently learned that some black people see a child as whatever they're father is.

So if the father is black but the wife is white/Asian the child is black despite having more Anglo or Asian features.

And damn MH1 got wrecked to shit by everyone. Seriously everyone put their differences aside just to take them out. It was interesting to see.

Donny Smith and you said Poindexter was bad that's like one of the most generic white guy names ever.

And man Paul is really in a dark place but I'm glad he's gotten partial revenge.

And Packie is finally out and I gotta say his breakout was awesome you never see those kinda breakouts in the real world or really in GTA except for that one online mission but it would have made alot of sense to have a mission where one of the characters had to break another out of prison.

And Baby Face has touched down in New Arcadia, I have big plans for him in the coming chapters.

And you had to let Eddie go that's got me really wondering whose gonna get to him first and if you want maybe you can pull Lee in for it.

And that shooting at the end that seems to foreshadow the peace will end.

And Grizz is snitching on Ivan to the one person who would really take it too heart I dont see him loving long after this.

I am really curious about the storyline with Packie going after Roman now. I will find out for myself where it goes. Regarding Carmen, I think I remember reading somewhere how it was said that Luis's boys, Armando and Henrique banged her. She seemed like the type who got around and wasn't tied down to Niko if they dated. Of course, I read that a while ago.

In response to the bits involving New Arcadia, I was rather shocked, yet intrigued by Neto torturing and crucifying that one guy. Then you had the shootout on the streets. Now I know I must read more of that story.

As for those flashback scenes, the ones that you have done of Neto have been rather sad. This one is up there with the one involving that child. I also liked that flashback from Paul's childhood. You said that it was based on a sequence from a book. Do you recommend that I read it?

Anyway, I will check out the next one soon.

Man, I won't listen to "I Got You, Babe" the same way ever again after reading this. I noticed that you tied this into Zilla's New Arcadia story, but does his story have any references to this one? I almost think I should try reading this and New Arcadia interchangeably.

As for the other parts, even though it's just a small subplot, I wonder what will happen with Mai and her parents. I know I will find out eventually, but it felt a bit sudden that they just showed up, even though her mom was talking about paying her a visit. Now with Ivan posing as her husband, I might have to see what will happen with that bit.

28. I really enjoyed that Prison Break sequence. I might do a re-read and watch a video of that mission and pretend that your characters are involved, with the dialogue and everything, just like I did with the Fleeca job. Also, the prison bits with Paul are getting intense, which brings me to...

Nice touch on Ivan's backstory. Also, I was glad to see The Lost show up. I wonder what else will happen with him and Trevor, same with the Yakuza.

29. The bit at the prison towards the end makes me wonder how Paul will survive on the inside, especially with some of those Carson guys wanting him dead. With him getting stabbed, that just seemed pretty brutal. Also, great job at touching on the part in Canada. I don't know much about the crime life in Canada, but I remember you telling me that you based a lot of gangs on real-life gangs, especially the Canadian ones.

I did enjoy that lemon with Ivan and Sugar. I kind of sensed something like that would happen between them, but I wasn't sure when.

Wow, after reading that bit with Rhino, I did find that to be rather screwed up, but like you said, it's realistic and as for what you mentioned about comparing him to Joker, I would have to disagree. While Rhino is a piece of work, Joker was far worse. Not just in how brutal he was, but also how he was a manipulator and had no sense of loyalty or honor. Of course, even those two things can be considered an old rule in the gang life. Like how I heard in the game Def Jam Fight for NY, "Ride or get rolled on."

I was wondering when we will get to see Packie in LS in this story. While I liked what you did with the sequences in 2008 with him, I guess it was time to bring him into the fold. I shall see how he would get along with Paul, Mai, Neto, and Ivan.

Also, the part about Candy Suxxx videos, I figured that with celebs existing in both the 3D and HD universes that she would be considered a figure in the porn industry in the HD universe. Hell, she had a star on the Vinewood Walk of Fame. In this universe and assuming that she is the same age as how she would be in the 3D universe, I could only guess she would be like Ginger Lynn or Nina Hartley. Older, but still doing her thing.
