An interesting start to, I'm curious to see how Riddle gets on with the others since the timeline has drastically changed - no war, no death eaters (yet), Harry and Neville still have their parents due to no DEs, no philosophers stone (since Dumbledore doesn't need to draw Riddle out of hiding)...

Fantastic! Great first meeting! I like how Tom is still 'strange', although he seems able to put up a mask he's not as good as he will be later. Interesting to see that change happen, as well as, of course, see him and Hermione become friends.
