Reviews for No One's Here To Sleep
Guest chapter 3 . 4/29
Not much of a review my guy, I really love the piece, expect where you said Caroline is more dangerous than Steve natasha and Wilson COMBINED, bro... NO measly “vampire diaries” vampire, except maybe an original or ancient, can throw down with STEVE ROGERS... I was slightly upset by the Thor sparring scene, but it wasn’t as bad, at least you acknowledged he was only showing her a fraction of his true strength, but even so Thor can fight SUPERMAN, my guy, Caroline can’t even BUDGE Superman

What a great story to read. Are we going to see more stories about the Avengers and Vampire Diaries? If so, that would be pretty fantastic.

I did say I would review this, but I admit this came far later than I had wanted to do it. I blame real life, however lame that does sound.

I did enjoy the note you left this off on. Haha, I did, also, like how you pulled Whedon's own schmick. I have to say though, I liked the cut-off, since it kinda foreshadowed the civil war aspect that would follow. But I enjoyed it here as well since it kinda leaves off that there could be more adventures.

But I remember how we talked, so don't take that as pressuring you. Lord knows I've been trying to work on writing again, but I always get stuck on how to start things. Plus, I recognize you have a ton of projects you're working on.

That being said, I enjoyed how you took the story you created and expanded it, especially in the following of the Avengers' movies. I admit, I haven't read a lot of Marvel comics, I'm only starting on some DC comics - so being able to follow what I know, combined with this being a continuation of your last story and I'm happy as pie. I haven't decided if it's blueberry pie or apple yet.

Maybe both?

Anyways, I felt like there was a bit of merging here, as if the story flowed far better than the first piece. I can say that I'm attributing that as you getting started on merging the two verses together and any initial awkwardness was stamped in far earlier stages of your first piece. Here, there was a great deal of smoothness, aligning the characters as actions. I like to think it's because you built up the characters, gained a familiarity with the individuals, the pairings and groups. Certainly showcasing a great deal of growth as a writer and just how dedicated you are in creating a story, a great one.

I admit, I am mostly playing off of memory from when I last read this series and I have made it part of my favorites. So what words I have to say are what I recall are a general overview from when I read the pieces last. My initial review, from the other story, held a great deal more description and instances to the stories as a whole since that was the one I made after the initial reading.

I am repeating myself, I realize, but yeah - I'm trying to recall giving due diligence to the pieces and my vow to review what I have read.

I admit, I don't have half the in depth view on Skye, having never seen the television show. But then, I admit I haven't seen a lot of anything and I think the Winter Soldier was the last bigger motion picture I've ever actually sat down and viewed in a single sitting.

I did rather enjoy that you carried the story off past that fine point of where Bucky just gets away. Cause I always wondered. You did nip the Civil War situation in the butt with what you managed to do with this story. Such as Tony's overall outlook on Bucky's part of the murder of his parents.

I realize, with the Civil War story, that there was a bit of stupidity on both sides but perhaps it was needed. Tony and Steve have butted heads quite a bit in the original, canon-verses, so it's interesting to see what would happen if they had a player, like Caroline, to blur those lines a bit more.

I shan't try to ramble further without too much fuss. I respect your need to leave the story here, especially if you don't have a concrete idea of where to go - or if you do and just don't have a foundation yet, I can understand. This was an excellent series and perhaps you'll use Caroline or any of these folks in your other stories for something else. I thank you, again, for what you've done.

Keep up the excellent work.

A very interesting fic in the end, and I'm very happy to have read it. Thanks for writing it.

Is Enzo's visit going to mean something?
KyliaQuilor chapter 3 . 2/23/2017
I'm not sure Caroline can beat Steve in a fight. That's a good question, I suppose.
Beth Nottingham chapter 20 . 12/21/2016
Snort! Natasha and Stefan-Very. Loud. Sex. The perfect payback to Damon and Elena! (I love Delena and I ship Delena, but they are so oblivious to how uncomfortable they make everybody else, yeesh!)
Beth Nottingham chapter 18 . 12/21/2016
Awwww! Skye and Bucky... adorbs! Haha, I just want him to be happy!
Beth Nottingham chapter 17 . 12/21/2016
Snerk. Caroline at the snobby dress shop! Reminds me of The Originals when Klaus and Stefan were mainlining champagne to get through Rebekah's wardrobe woes... Hah!
Beth Nottingham chapter 16 . 12/21/2016
BUCKY, YOU ASSHOLE! BAHAHAHAHAHA! Omg, but I loved him moaning in pleasure when Skye started giving him a massage. Bucky Barnes happy and contented is one of the most beautiful things in this world! TT_TT "Waking the beast" though... bahahaha-that woul be my mother in the morning. If you say ANYTHING besides "good morning" and "I'm making coffee" to her before she's had her coffee, she'll prob'ly slit your throat!
Beth Nottingham chapter 15 . 12/21/2016
"Go kick some ass" haha, Caroline, you're the best!
Beth Nottingham chapter 14 . 12/21/2016
Bahahaha, "to be completely honest, there's actually not a plot to this story..." Hah! Nice.
Beth Nottingham chapter 10 . 12/20/2016
SNORT! Bucky goes to NOLA, huh? I love how he likes the antiquated buildings-bet it makes him feel like home, haha!

Oh no! Oh crap! Bucky's having an adverse reaction to compulsion... if Bill Forbes could train himself to be uncompellable, God only knows what HYDRA's conditioning did to Bucky's ability to respond to vampire mind tricks...

Snerk... Beard burn. I can confirm, lol. They're so fun to play with and they look so freaking hawt, but they are NOT PLESANT on the skin! Caroline's lucky she has vampire recovery. (And anyway, I have a personal headcanon that all vampires find the line between pain and pleasure pretty blurry-they're all basically a little bit masochistic. Evidence for this is biting each other during sex is considered sexy and intimate rather than being rude or filed under S&M, and that time Elena's nails ripped open Damon's back and he was bleeding everywhere, but he just thought it was really hot. And the way they slam each other into walls way hard, pretty much every time. Vampire senses are heightened, so they should actually have *lower* pain thresholds than humans, but that would be counter-intuitive, since vampirism was created for protection. So, the most efficient way to counteract this would be for the line between pleasure and pain to be really blurry and-from a human perspective-falling into the S&M spectrum. Therefore a rough texture on the skin wouldn't upset a vampire during lovemaking-it would probably just turn them on more. NOT THAT I OVERANALYZE FICTION OR ANYTHING!
Beth Nottingham chapter 9 . 12/20/2016
I THINK I WOKE UP MY ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD WITH PEALS OF LAUGHTER WHEN COULSON "FIGURED OUT THAT CAROLINE'S BEEN DEFILING HIS CHILDHOOD HERO" AND SHE SAID HE KNOWS IF HE WAS IN HER SHOES HE'D "CLIMB HIM LIKE A TREE." O.M.G. that was hysterical!

Oh, and of COURSE, no funny business. Bahahahaha, NOOOOO, of COURSE NOOOOOOT... Snerk!

Awwww! Children and autographs! So does this mean people know Steve Rogers has a girlfriend? I'm still waiting to find out when/how Care deals with paparazzi and seeing horrid rumors about herself all over the internet because that's kinda' what happens when you date a famous person...

OMG, ENZO, BABY, SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE! Hahahaha, I adore him... "places to be, people to eat..." "S'not polite to talk about the big, bad vampire where he can hear you" lol!

Yay, back to Bucky! 'Cause I adore him too! Hahaha...
