This story was so fantastically fabulously sweet! Such a wonderful family moment with the Langston women and then the whole family too!

I thought the first part of the story was really cute, the way you described how happy the Langston family was and how they had such frequent family dinners that had become more fun now that Jacob had come back. That was adorable as was the image of him cracking jokes throughout dinner to his family. Loved how you had described Lucille being the happiest that Jacob was back and her reasons why, loving that she had someone to baby again, take care of and cuddle with—she had her son back how could she not be happy?

Then the set up for this story was very nicely don, the Langstons are having another family dinner and this time Marty’s invited—Yay! I still wish he had gone to the one with Margaret and Barbra lol I loved reading that Marty and Maggie were an item in this story, but even that wasn’t a huge reason for why Marty was invited to the family dinner. The line about how he had become like family to them—LOVED that SO much! Had to smile at hearing that Marty was running late though, I like how it’s mentioned that it’s a usual thing too lol And Fred and Maggie are late too, but it doesn’t seem to bother Lucille because it means she gets some extra cuddle time with her son. The picture you created with you brilliant details of Jacob and Lucille on the couch watching cartoons, with Jacob resting his head in his mom’s lap, while she rubbed his back and lulled him to sleep—such a heartwarming image. I also really liked how Maggie enters the scene so quietly, not wanting to disturb them.

The friendly welcome between Lucille and Maggie was really sweet and I loved how Maggie wastes little time in joining her aunt and cousin on the sofa. She even joined Jacob in resting her head on Lucille’s lap. Loved how Lucille laughs at the actions but at the same time really enjoyed having both Maggie and Jacob so close to her like this. Such a sweet detail with her tucking a stand of Maggie’s hair out of the way when she asks how she’s doing. Loved Maggie’s reply not just her words but the way her face was too. So happy and I love that Lucille knows it because she’s with Marty and he makes her happy which Lucille likes to see—Maggie deserves to be happy—I love how Lucille thinks this too.

So loved the moment when Lucille tells Maggie that she looks happy and Maggie telling her that she was, then asking if it was that obvious. LOVED that! Aww and the reply that Lucille makes about how it’s cute to see Maggie so happy was really sweet. Such a wonderful moment between aunt and niece. And then the rest of the family joins in too!

Really great work on writing the entrances from the other family members. Fred and Marty entering from outside and Henry coming down from upstairs, loved how they all soon spotted the scene on the couch. Marty and Fred’s confusion at the sight was cute but I really loved how Henry was familiar with the scene with the exception of Jacob being there lol Loved how Maggie reacted when she saw that they were being watched and looked back at them as if everything was normal. Then Marty’s question about how that position, squished on the couch together, was very funny too! I could hear Marty’s voice so clearly when that was asked! Maggie’s reply about Jacob being small and not taking up a lot of room does explain a lot, great image of her hugging everyone soon after. Aww then Henry carrying Jacob up to bed—LOVED that image too! Then the very end of story with the line about the family enjoying the rest of the evening together was such a marvelous way to close the story!
