Okay I've already reviewed once, but I just re-read this and YES, YES, YES this needed to be said! Snow wad such a bitch about all of this.

First off,I am new to your stories,but I love them all immensely! Your characterization of Emma and Killian is so perfectly dead on! And thank you for this fic...Snow has been needing to get put in her place about the way she's been treating Emma and Killian. And the stuff about naming Neal...thank you so much for writing what we all were thinking! Lol looking forward to more literary gems for hook and Emma if the mood strikes you. Thanks so much for putting your works out here for our enjoyment!

I just wanted to say that I don't think this is out of character for Emma or Snow at all, it is actually a conversation which needed to be explored. I didn't agree with the name of her brother either, I thought it should be Leo. I felt that the name would be uncomfortable not just for Emma, but for Killian, Rumple, Tinkerbell, too.

I've watched the series through twice, and each time I found myself wanting a conversation between Emma and her parents concerning what Neal did. His death seemed to excuse his wrongs, burying them with him, rather than airing them to clear the way for Emma and Killian's relationship.

What you wrote captured a lot of my thoughts on the subject, quite eloquently. Thank you.

What the Hell is wrong with you? I love Hook but Neal is a hero. He didn't just knock her up, he didn't know and it was mostly Pinocchio's fault. He's Henry's father and died in Emma's arms. If course he'd be named Neal.

First of all, really well written. Second of all, thank you for finally addressing this. I've been wanting someone to write something like this because there is no way Emma would have reacted the way she did on the show every time her mum disapproved of Killian or tried to tell her she should be with Neal or when they named the baby Neal. I completely agree with your views on Neal that he was shown as a hero when he did one good thing (died) and Killian is constantly put down even though he is more of a hero than Neal will ever be.

To me this seems more like how Emma would have responded to what her parents named her brother. Because even though she forgive Neal. He still heart her deeply.

This was a great one-shot! I always hated that they named their baby Neal, for the exact reasons you listed.

Interesting. I appreciate Emma's rant about Neal, it is odd to see the baby named Neal though he did die a hero. Love Killian and Emma waking up together.

Emma only half broke Regina's happy ending which we see by the fact that "Storybrooke" is still in existence and Snow brought a curse on herself by killing Cora it makes sense she is not her best self which is how I understand Snow currently. I think sometimes we get too caught up in the characters we formed emotional attachments too that we some times forget the bigger picture and this story is still to be concluded. It is a character driven show and between all characters there has to be conflict to drive their arcs and development forward. Is it sometimes hurtful, harsh and leave us irritated at times yeah sure but what can ya do? Characters will only feel a slice of happiness here and there and will attain the happy ending only on conclusion of the show. As to your story I enjoyed reading it! Can't wait to read whatever you decide to publish next.

I agree with you on some of what Snow's character is a bit in 4A. Not all of it but some of it at least on the point where you say that Snow was so caught up in her 2nd child and kinda forgetting about Emma for a bit. I really liked this one shot. great job flu be damned!
