| Merlinhill1920 chapter 8 . 1/31 Hello, sorry I am very late to this story and so far am really enjoying reading it. I would however, like to give you some constructive criticism in regards to the part about adoption. Putting the word parents in ‘’ implies that they aren’t her ‘real’ parents... once a child is adopted those people become his/her parents irrespective of the fact that they didn’t create/give birth to the child and regardless if the birth parents are involved in their lives. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, I don’t mean to be horrible but as someone who was adopted and is very close to my parents (adoptive parents) I just wanted to post a comment explaining the feelings and relationships that come with adoption (I understand that for some people this may not be the case). I comment this, not to be cruel or critical but to help you, seeing as for people who are/have been adopted seeing the word parents in ‘’ can be hurtful and/or offending. Overall though the story is really well written and very creative :) |
