ok, this is a nice little piece...but very fluff...because I don't think Christine would've come so easy over Erik's face. She already was thinking something simillair in "Phantom", although not with so many words...but even if she dared to touch him in the end because of this tale about the nightingale, it would never be immediatly after he told it to her. She's so young...she would need more time to pound over it and do this, than just a few minutes.

and the first line "The thought had occurred to her before that Erik might possibly be in love with her, but she'd dismissed it time and time again." I just can't agree with that. why does she _wonder_ if he 's in love with her? he just IS and she knows this. Enough quotes in the book make this clear.

What else does he want from her...even Christine isn't that stupid... But ok, still it was a nic little FF-piece. Would be nice if it finished like that though.

I am going to scribble out that scene where she leave to go to bed and write in my favourite pink pen your ending instead :D

I read this before I read Kay's Phantom. Then I finally got to read the darn book and all through it, I definitely was assaulted by all those 'what if' 'could have beens'. When I got to the part where he tells this story I was so happy there was already a fic that went on with just the 'what if' I wanted to hear about. This is simply lovely, and I'm so glad you wrote it. It's a definite should have been :o)
