This was so cute and sweet. I think you captured the characters quite well. Loved the elevator scene, I'm happy you included it! And thank you, thank you, thaaaank you, for making Sakura more strong-willed and self-loving than Kotoko, particularly towards the end. I do like Izatura na Kiss, but I always thought Kotoko was a bit too dependent on Naoki. Loving somebody can be beautiful, hard, amazing, etc... but loving yourself is equally important. So yeah, thumbs up for that! All the best :)

I never leave comments but I felt the need to here. I too am a huge K-Drama and J-Drama fan with Playful/Mischievous Kiss being one of my favorites. Ccs is also my all-time favorite anime so I was so excited to read your story. I pulled an all nighter just to read it! ️

So far I think this chapter is my favorite. Im glad Sakura was not depressed over Syaoran and instead mad at herself. The main girl character of Itzura no Kiss was obsessed with the main guy character and that made it hard to watch. I'm glad thier CCS personality is intact.

I like how you included the daydream like the dream card xD Syaoran's reaction same as always. Things are looking up. I may have to take back my review from before if these changes continue. CCS is starting to be more included.

The only thing I don't like about this fic so far is that it copies the anime its based off of too much. Sakura is good at sports/PE, and music. She doesn't like math. But its following the anime its based off of too much. That is my opinion. Other than that I am enjoying it so far.

Congrats at finishing this fic, Melanie! That was wonderful of you to bring the two stories together and share the fic. The last chapter was really at the edge of your seat exciting!

Some corrections: "who's" instead of "whose", "little by little" instead of "little my little" and "petals" instead of "peddles" (after they got married). Finally, for your last paragraph you wrote "detour" three times and it makes it less special and more redundant. If I could make a suggestion, I would have Syaoran say "alternate route" and close with Sakura saying the line with the word "detour" after they share their last kiss.

Incorporating the classic moments such as the swings and the bears was everything. I loved how Syaoran finally woke up and embraced his true feelings in the end. I appreciate the way that you portrayed neither Julian or Syaoran's fiancé as villainous. They're good people. They're just not the ones that S&S are in love with.

The Takashi and Chiharu moment was sweet! Loved the fact that Kai was at the wedding. That reminds me, have you ever read my Kaitou/Syaoran parody? It's no one's OTP but I am fond of it.

I really admire the way you can convincingly write about your OTP with other people. I wrote a quadruple ship fic once (three of them multi-ships) and that was enough of a challenge. Even though there is a twang of pain resting in the hearts of Sakura and Syaoran, I like the way that they're giving an honest shot at being with someone else. Nice call back to both Alice and Wonderland, and the teddy bear festival with the iconic Sakura and Syaoran bears. I hope they come up in the next chapter.

It's interesting that you mentioned the old wives tale about how a broken chain represents a lost bond. When I was in grade eight, a girl who I was friends with for four years gave me a friendship bracelet. I wore for seven months. We didn't see each other during the summer so back at school I was excited to show her that I was still wearing the bracelet. But she flat out ignored me. We were now seniors and it was clear that she wanted to shrug off her less popular friends to climb up the social ladder. And that's when the bracelet snapped. Those old wives know a thing or two about their tales, eh?

I noticed a grave error in this chapter: you wrote "Hadn't he said he was going to run away?" instead of writing "Hadn't he said he was *not* going to run away?" because in the last chapter you had Syaoran promise Sakura that he would no longer run away.

I can't say that I feel sorry for Yelan's scheme with Sakura and Meilin as her cohorts to backfire. It wasn't very mature even though I am completely in love with the idea of the girls in matching fairy costumes. Have you ever tried drawing fanart for your fic? That was noble of Julian to wait this long and make sure to step in at the right time. But I wouldn't be surprised if Sakura's relationship with him resembles NewTrials!Sakura's relationship with Eron. I don't think her heart would be into it.
