Ohmigosh! This is the best thing EVER! I absolutely LOVE this! I was a bit skeptical at first, but reading it... Oh, man. The feels are huge. I can totally see all of this having happened.
Now, I somehow don't think that I saw the whole story, because in one or two paragraphs in the beginning and middle it cut them off, and that was a bit distracting, but I'm sure that could be easily rectified.
All in all, excellent work!

Aww! When I saw that this was in the Playtime universe, I immediately went back and reread them all. I was actually wondering what the story was behind the fishing picture before I read what this one-shot was about. I love it! I never know what goes through your head to see all these moments with our favorite characters, but I can't argue with the results :D

Awww! Warm fuzzies. These stories always make me happy, because I'd prefer to think of Jim having a loving father figure in his life rather than what we assume from the movies. Pike makes an excellent father and Jim's adorable. Great job.
