Wow-just so tragic.

I liked this one shot, I don't know how to describe it, but I liked the quiet and 'stillness' of it. It was somehow peaceful although there was some sniper on the loose and a man had to give his life to stop him.
I'd love to read stories about Jenny at the White House, maybe even with Katharyn and Anna there? Would be kinda fun.

I would guess that writing stories in which one of the good guys gets killed is depressing, but when an idea takes up residence in your head, you can't ignore it. I remember wondering how the killer in that TV episode deposited a white feather at the scene if he shot the recruiter from some distance away, rather than up close, but they didn't explain that detail. You make McAllister a good guy in this fic; whereas in the series, he is out to get Leon Vance. So I really didn't care for his character. You gave him some poetic justice here. Nikki Jardine's phobia for germs makes me wonder if she could ever make it as a field agent in the canon series, so no wonder she cried at finding blood on her clothes. Your descriptions of Gibbs' home life are great; a sad but well-done story. Thanks.

Hi, it's nice to see Gibbs aware he has much to come home for. And showing the home life that makes it all worthwhile. Anna as the elder sister encouraging Kate to eat the vegetables was so funny!
Jenny the mom is fun in her White House role, too, even getting her own coffee!
