I personally would have prefered this to happen instead of what really happened. I cried when I read the book and got to the end.

I read the book today and thank god i found this story, my heart isn't in a million pieces anymore. Thank you for writing it and i can't wait for the next chapter!

OH! also maybe have the AN as a separate chapter so it's a little easier to read?

Thanks for writing this. The real ending had me crying for like ever. And that was before I was halfway through when I was like ooh gonna read the ending. Totally harmless. HA. And then I actually reached it and went into mega fangirl depressed mode. And then I got over it, and my sister read it and I was sad all over again. And then I finally got over it, and then I warched Mean girls and heard the name Cady and just ughhhh. Why is my brain so dramatic and depressing? And why is We Were Liars so good? And why did it have to be We Were Liars instead of We Are Liars of perfectly healthy bodies and minds who are not dead at all and did not try to burn down a house while we were drunk as a symbol to our families and then lose our memories of the incident and become and addict and break people's hearts when they read about us? Okay, anyway, goodbye, and thanks again, this is the new ending in my mind, and I shall imagine she actually saw them and did not just imagine ghosts because why would they have ghosts when they're alive.

... wait i want more... what happens next? do they get found out, or its all a big secret and they truly are liars? please continuee

Okay I just finished this book yesterday and I loved it! Your fanfiction would've been nice so I didn't spend an hour crying. Its a great alternate ending. Also Gat is Ed's nephew. That is all!

This is good foreshadowing, if this is what it is. I see the summary says what if Clairmont had never burned, but the way this story is written, it seems to imply that they WILL burn the house down, if they haven't already.

I like the last paragraph - it really shows how "perfect" the Sinclairs family is and how honestly fake it all can be. I like the last line, "And now we are liars." The book doesn't really explain to me HOW they're "Liars" (although I assume they're talking about the fire), but this shows why they call themselves "Liars".

What I would say is three things:

One: The first line of the summary will draw people in. However, the second part where you state you aren't good at summaries, I would change. If you don't feel confident about your writing, people won't want to read.

Two: The author's note at the beginning. One or two lines of an AN (author's note) is fine, but you've written a paragraph that's almost as long as the story itself.

Three: I notice multiple SPaG (Spelling and Grammar) errors. The way the dialogue is written, such as: "Yes" I said half drunk." It should be "Yes," I said, half drunk. I also notice multiple typos and no punctuation at times.

Anyway, I do like the story. And the title is perfect.
