I really like how simple and quiet Hades and Persephone's first meeting goes. This whole chapter makes it believable they became friends before lovers. I like!

Very good story

An excellent retelling of Persephone and Hades. Speaking purely personally, I love how Hades comes out in this, as a kind and just man, rather than the fearsome depiction he usually gets. Ruling the Underworld is a thankless job, but as was stated here, someone has to do it. That doesn't make them fearsome or evil, just necessary.

Telling the tale from Persephone's perspective is the real gem of the story, obviously. How myth remembers her is as a victim, or a prize, but here, she acts of her own agency, and brings the story new life (yes, pun intended) by changing the entire tale to one of mutual love and respect.

You should be proud of what you've done here. The story telling is engaging, and you show a great deal of promise with your creativity, not to mention having a strong voice with presenting an under used point of view.

Now this is refreshing and creative. Persephone would enjoy the evening as well as the day and would probably be very curious about night blooming flowers. Playing a flute in his private time would be a very theraputic hobby for Hades. Eager to hear more of this story.
