I started crying when Jane said he wanted to be his last everything, like genuine tears rolled down my face. I can't even with you right now this fic was so perfect. Although, I feel like Jane wouldn't get down on one knee, I don't know, I just can't see it. Buuuut, then I think again and I can, so I don't really know which situation I prefer. Either way, this fic was perfect and I am so happy now after reading. I think I might have to read it a few more times haha!

I love your take on this - and I've been reading a lot of J/L proposals lately! I particularly like your references to Teresa's prior experiences - and how she focuses on this one being different. I love that Jane was able to convince her that he's not giving up anything by staying with her - and that whole last everything bit - beautiful!

I love the setting especially. Jane picks the moment that makes the most sense - when they both are ready and he doesn't need a fancy romantic setting. He just needs Teresa - and a yes or close equivalent.

Mostly I love how well you got into Lisbon's head in this, delving into her fears and her tendency to be self-sacrificing and to care about everyone else - especially Jane - over herself. How well Jane understands that and can help her see and and help her understand that she needs to allow herself to be happy in order to allow others to be happy with her is a key to the eventual success of this relationship - in the same way that Lisbon's ability to help Jane see that he deserves to be loved - and that loving him is not some sort of jinx - is also key.
