 Northgalus2002 chapter 1 . 6/15/2017 I have re-read the story after hearing the death of Adam West. The 60's tv show was my first encounter with the Caped Crusader, and you really captured the feel of that oh-so-campy show. It wasn't my favorite Batman series (that would be Batman: The Animated Series), but it was a fond memory of my childhood. Anyway, really great story. R.I.P. Adam West. |

| Multidimensional Scribe chapter 1 . 2/21/2015 Your idea was great and for the most part it was executed. However, the origin has issues. Male rape was very stigmatized in the 1960s, to the point where it was never even addressed. Gotham citizens aren't going to instantly rally against a male rape victim, even if he is Robin. If anything, they might accuse Robin of "letting it happen" and maybe even being gay which that in itself comes with a whole set of other problems in the 1960s. Robin, being a male rape victim, will be much more hesitant in telling what actually happened, especially to the media. In order for this fanfic to really work, one of two things should happen: change the injury to something not stigmatized back then or keep the tape angle but bring about slow gradual change with realistic emotions from Robin |
