After reading your stories for years, I just wanted to let you know how much I love the heart and soul you put into your characters with every word. Your "sam" voice is so her, that I can actually picture her saying the phrases in my mind - actually, sometimes I "remember" episodes that never happened, only because they happened in your universe.

Not much of a fan girl, but I continually enjoy your work at the odd hour or two off work, and look forward to seeing your postings. You are clearly talented, and as the mother of only 1, G-D bless you for taking care of home and family while bringing enjoyment to so many others.

Absolutely Loved the angst! Your descriptions are captivating and really get the reader to feel what the character is going through :) ...Yes I just put a smiley face to an angsty chapter haha. Can't wait to read the next chapter!

Melancholy, sad, sweet, gentle, with a touch of Sam and Jack's love for each other shining throughout the story. Those are the words that came to my mind when I read this story. A bit different for your writing style but I very much enjoyed the chapter. I enjoyed the way Daniel fitted into this chapter as well, he is just so, so Daniel! Love Doris and her wisdom for Sam, so true. Loved her junk food habit as well, perfect! Well done, it was great to see a chapter by you again. Thank you for taking the time to write. Mmm...I'm getting a feeling that this is going to get more beautiful... And more painful...as the series progresses. Wonderful. The dance they're engaged in is lovely...and torture. I just wanted him to reach out...I can't wait to see them later, when they can be unguarded. Ugh!

If you can't tell, I'm working through these pretty quickly now that I've settled down and dived in. You did a great job of capturing the emotions: Daniel can be a putz. We love him, but he really has his moments where we want to throttle him. Kinda like my brother. That's probably why we love him like a little brother. Need was an episode where this behavior really rose to the top.
Anyway, I love how you explored the aftereffects on the team: how close and personal it touched the team (especially Sam...his betrayal of her hurts worst of all), and I love the leadership Jack shows in not just ignoring it. Well done!

Wow. Powerful, my friend...a worthy tribute to the torment that the recovery from this probably was. I agree with you that it was not adequately covered by the series. Additionally, this "thing" between them is becoming downright dangerous! Well written, in character, and simply perfect.
