this is a really interesting look into Jades POV! with how the comic normally has a lighthearted tone even during serious moments; it's easy to forget just how devastating everything the characters have gone through is! this was just so sad seeing how Jade can't help but remember her Grandpa and what she thinks happened to him

This just doesn't seem quite right. I guess it's that you did a really good job thinking about the details of that time Bec Noir killed Dave and then hung out creepily and how someone might react to it, and even taking into account a lot of Jade's unusual life, but there's little sign of Jade's own personality in how she's reacting to them. A lot of what makes Jade interesting is that despite how much she goes through, she's a lot more energetic and determined than anyone would expect.

So I'm finally reviewing this, sorry I forgot to after I read it :p

It's really interesting because no one really thinks Jade might have any sad feelings, that's she's way too happy for that. But of course she gets sad, of course she can have those sorts of feelings as well, she's got enough goddamb reason to! :000
In my opinion, Dave's death in that scene is still one of the most terrible things in homestuck, especially because Jade had no idea what was happening and Dave hadn't told her his plan or anything. Damn it Dave!
I think you did it justice, also the part about Grandpa, which is really really sad as well! :C
(Btw I just reached that part on my reread, and Tavros already told her that he accidentally killed Grandpa, but that doesn't matter, it's still just a really cool fic!)
